  1. Warrant dated the twenty-fourth day of June, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, and published in Gazette No. 79, of the first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and fifteen, apportioning the cost of maintaining Middle Park Road in the Waimairi County.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

North Park Road.—The Christchurch City Council shall bear fifty-four (54) per centum, the Riccarton Borough Council shall bear nineteen (19) per centum, and the Waimairi County Council shall bear twenty-seven (27) per centum of the cost of maintaining North Park Road (described in the Second Schedule hereto).

Riccarton Avenue.—The Christchurch City Council shall bear sixty-five (65) per centum and the Riccarton Borough Council shall bear thirty-five (35) per centum of the cost of maintaining Riccarton Avenue (described in the Second Schedule hereto).

Dean’s Avenue.—The Christchurch City Council shall bear forty (40) per centum, the Riccarton Borough Council shall bear fifty (50) per centum, and the Waimairi County Council shall bear ten (10) per centum of the cost of maintaining Dean’s Avenue (described in the Second Schedule hereto).

Moorhouse Avenue.—The Christchurch City Council shall bear fifty (50) per centum and the Riccarton Borough Council shall bear fifty (50) per centum of the cost of maintaining Moorhouse Avenue (described in the Second Schedule hereto).

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ALL that street in the City of Christchurch, Canterbury Land District, known as the North Park Road, commencing at its junction with Dean’s Avenue and running in a north-easterly direction generally through Hagley Park North to its junction with Park Terrace, including the small pieces of roads leading from the said North Park Road to the Helmore, Fendalton, and Carleton Bridges : lettered A–D on plan.

Also all that street in the said city and land district, known as Riccarton Avenue, commencing at its junction with Dean’s Avenue opposite Riccarton Road, and running in a south-easterly direction generally across Hagley Park between Hagley Park North and Hagley Park South to its junction with Lincoln Road ; being a distance of 36 chains, more or less : lettered E–F on plan.

Also all that street in the Canterbury Land District, known as Dean’s Avenue, situated on portion of the boundary between the City of Christchurch and the Riccarton Borough, commencing at its junction with the North Park Road and running in a southerly direction generally along the western side of Hagley Park to its junction with Moorhouse Avenue ; being a distance of 90 chains, more or less : lettered A–B on plan.

Also all that street in the said land district, known as Moorhouse Avenue, situated on portion of the said boundary, commencing at its junction with the said Dean’s Avenue and running in an easterly direction along the southern boundary of Hagley Park to its junction with Lincoln Road, being a distance of 40 chains, more or less : lettered B–C on plan.

As the said streets are more particularly delineated on the plan made P.W.D. 65610, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red and lettered as above mentioned.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, this 7th day of June, 1926.

Additional Regulations under the Census and Statistics Act, 1910.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by the Census and Statistics Act, 1910, as amended by the Census and Statistics Amendment Act, 1915, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby make the following regulations prescribing the method in which statistical information relating to accident insurance required to be furnished under section twenty-one (h) of the said Act shall be collected by the Statistician.

REGULATIONS.

  1. IN these regulations—

“ The general manager for New Zealand ” shall include the manager, secretary, or clerk, or other responsible authority or person for the time being in charge in the Dominion of the business of an accident-insurance company, and in the event of there being no such general manager for the Dominion, shall include the person or persons in charge for the time being of any branch or branches in the Dominion of an accident-insurance company :

“ Accident-insurance company ” means any person, firm, company, or association (whether incorporated or otherwise) who or which issues or is liable under accident-insurance policies in New Zealand, and includes companies now established in or out of New Zealand, and includes also mutual associations as well as proprietary ; but does not include any institution subject to the provisions of the Friendly Societies Act, 1909, and its amendments.

  1. The general manager for New Zealand of every accident-insurance company shall upon request, and within such times as are hereinafter set out, furnish to the Statistician particulars in the form of the return set out in the Schedule hereto in accordance with any instructions that may accompany such form or may from time to time be issued by the Statistician.

  2. The general manager for New Zealand shall certify the particulars contained in such form of return as correct to the best of his knowledge and belief, and shall transmit such form of return by post or otherwise so as to reach the Statistician not later than the 30th day of June in each year.
