Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that on
and after the date of gazetting of this Order in Council, the
public highway described in the Schedule hereto shall become
a Government road.

SCHEDULE.

BALCLUTHA-Tuaepka Mouth : All that road known as the
Balclutha-Tuaepka Mouth Road, commencing at the north-
western boundary of the Borough of Balclutha and proceeding
thence generally in a north-westerly direction along the left
bank of the Clutha River via Barnego Settlement, Pukeawa
Settlement, and Greenfield Settlement, and terminating at its
junction with the Tuaepka Mouth to Punt Road, passing
through the Counties of Bruce and Tuaepka; being a distance
of 20 miles 40 chains, more or less. As the same is more
particularly delineated on the plan marked M.H. 40, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington,
in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue
and marked C-D.

Declaring a Public Highway in the No. 17 Highway District to
be a Main Highway.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
section three of the Main Highways Act, 1922, and of
all other powers in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His
Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New
Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the
Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order
and declare that on and after the date of gazetting of this
Order in Council, the public highway mentioned in the Schedule
hereto shall be a main highway within the meaning and for
the purpose of the Main Highways Act, 1922.

SCHEDULE.

BALCLUTHA-Tuaepka Mouth : All that road known as the
Balclutha-Tuaepka Mouth Road, commencing at the north-
western boundary of the Borough of Balclutha and proceeding
thence generally in a north-westerly direction along the left
bank of the Clutha River via Barnego Settlement, Pukeawa
Settlement, and Greenfield Settlement, and terminating at its
junction with the Tuaepka Mouth to Punt Road, passing

Declaring Portion of Ruakituri Valley Road (Nolans-Papuni)
in the Wairoa County, to be a County Road.

I N pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers
in anyway enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the
portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and
after the date of this Order in Council, become a county road.

SCHEDULE.

All that portion of road in the Gisborne Land District,
Wairoa County, known as the Ruakituri Valley Road (Nolans-
Papuni), commencing at a point about 60 chains north of the
southern boundary of the forest reserve in Block XIIA, Tuahu
Survey District, and proceeding thence generally in a northerly
direction, adjoining or passing through part S.G.R. No. 85,
Block VII, Tuahu Survey District, and terminating at a point
in the said S.G.R. No. 85; being a distance of 22 chains,
more or less. As the said portion of road is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 66069, deposited in the
office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the
Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured white and
marked A-B.

Declaring Portions of Roads in the Whangarei County to be
County Roads.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers
in anytime enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the
portions of roads described in the Schedule hereto shall, on and
after the date of this Order in Council, become county roads.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that portion of road known as Waiotira Valley Road,
commencing at Oakleigh Corner, Tauraroa, and thence pro-
ceeding in a south-easterly direction along the boundary
between part Sections 54 and 55, Block VIII, to a point on
the north-western boundary of Section N.E. 52, Block VIII;
thence proceeding in a south-westerly direction generally
adjoining or passing through the said Section 55, Part Section
56, Blocks VIII and XI, part Section 51, part Walton's
Grant No. 4, Sections 111, I09, N.E. 109, Block XI, Section
N.E.M. 107, Blocks XI and X, Sections S.W.M. 107, S.W.
105, N. 40, S. 40, 37, Block X; Section 36, Blocks X and XIV;
Sections 34 and 33, Block X; and forking at a point on the
western boundary of the said Section 33, and adjoining
each side of the Waiotira Station Yard, each branch terminat-
ing at a point on the south-eastern boundary of the said
Section 33; being a distance of six miles, more or less; marked
A-D, D-E, and D-C on plan.

Also all that portion of road known as Waikiekie-Tokatoka
(Waikiekie-Pukehuia) Road commencing at a bridge at a
point approximately a quarter of a mile east of Waiotira
Station Yard near the boundary between Section E. 41,
Block XV, and W. 41, Block XIV, and proceeding thence
in a north-westerly direction generally, adjoining or passing
through the said Section W. 41, and thence proceeding in
a south-westerly direction, adjoining part Section 33, Block
XIV, Tangihua Survey District, and connecting the ter-
minating points of the two branches of Waiotira Valley Road
(described in the preceding paragraph); being a distance of
40 chains, more or less; marked B-E, E-C on plan.

All in the North Auckland Land District, Whangarei
County, Tangihua Survey District. As the same are more
particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 65780,
deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at
Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured red.
