His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by subsection three of section three of the Main Highways Act, 1922, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the fourteenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and published in New Zealand Gazette No. 48, of the seventeenth day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, declaring the Rakaia-Methven Road to be a main highway, in so far as affects the portion of the said main highway between the eastern corner of Rural Section 1391, Block IX, Corwar Survey District, and the western corner of Rural Section 7301, Block X, Corwar Survey District, coloured blue on plan P.W.D. 65989, and doth hereby declare that from the date of gazetting of this Order in Council the route of the said main highway between the said eastern corner of Rural Section 1391, Block IX, Corwar Survey District, and the said western corner of Rural Section 7301, Corwar Survey District, shall be via Back Road to its junction with Mitcham Road, thence via Mitcham Road and River Road. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 65989, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Allocating Cost of certain Proceedings under Section 132 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, Borough of Greytown— Petition of F. V. Kempton and others.

IN pursuance of the powers vested in him by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of every other power and authority enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby direct that the Greytown Borough Council shall defray all the costs of the Commission appointed under the said Act by Warrants under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General dated the sixteenth day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, and the fifteenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, to inquire and report upon the proposal contained in the petition of F. V. Kempton and others to exclude a certain area from the Borough of Greytown and to include such area in the County of Featherston.

Authorizing the Laying-off of Streets in the City of Auckland of a Width of less than 66 ft., but not less than 50 ft.

His EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby authorize the Auckland City Council to permit the laying-off of the streets described in the Schedule hereto of a width less than sixty-six feet, but not less than fifty feet, it being difficult and inexpedient to lay off such streets of a width of sixty-six feet.
SCHEDULE.
Those streets situated in the North Auckland Land District (City of Auckland), known as Rona Avenue and Barrington Road, containing by admeasurement 2 roods 35·5 perches and 2 roods 14·9 perches respectively, through part Allotment 20, Section 7, Suburbs of Auckland. As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D 66110, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.
