Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him as aforesaid, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the term for which the Waipawa Borough Council may borrow the said four thousand eight hundred pounds shall be thirty-six and a half years, and the rate of interest that may be paid thereon shall be a rate not exceeding six per centum per annum, and the said Waipawa Borough Council is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum of four thousand eight hundred pounds accordingly.

WHEREAS by section eleven of the Finance Act, 1921, and its amendments, it is provided that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act or in any rule of law, where a local authority or public body has been authorized before the passing of the said Act, or is thereafter authorized, to borrow money, whether pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or otherwise howsoever, whether the rate of interest or the term of years of the loan was or was not specified or determined, and such money or any part thereof has not been borrowed, the local authority may, with the precedent consent of the Minister of Finance, borrow such money, or such amount thereof as has not been borrowed, at such rate of interest, or for such term, as may be prescribed by the Governor-General by Order in Council:
And whereas the Woodville Borough Council has been authorized to borrow the sum of six hundred and ninety-five pounds for providing the Council’s proportion of the further cost of reconstructing and widening the Manawatu Gorge Road:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by the above-recited section eleven, and it is desired that the rate of interest at which the money may be borrowed be not exceeding six per centum per annum:

Providing that Mangonui County Council shall cease to be a Hospital Board, and appointing Representation for Kaitaia Town Board and Mangonui County Council on Mangonui Hospital Board.

WHEREAS by section three of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Amendment Act, 1925, it is enacted that if in any of the hospital districts constituted by the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Amendment Act, 1919, there is at any time a contributory local authority other than a County Council named in section three of that Act, the Governor-General may by Order in Council provide that the County Council being the Hospital Board for the hospital district shall cease to be the Hospital Board, and that a Hospital Board shall be elected as provided for in the principal Act:
And whereas in the Mangonui Hospital District there is a contributory local authority other than the Mangonui County Council—namely, the Kaitaia Town Board:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Amendment Act, 1925, doth hereby provide that the Mangonui County Council shall as from the twelfth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, cease to be the Hospital Board for the Mangonui Hospital District, and that a Hospital Board for the said hospital district shall be elected as provided for in the principal Act. And in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, doth hereby make the appointment of representation set forth in the Schedule hereto, and doth hereby declare that the day of the first election of representatives of the Mangonui County shall be Wednesday, the twelfth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, and the day of the first election of the representative of the Kaitaia Town District shall be Wednesday, the fourteenth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.
And it is further directed that in all other respects the regulations made by Order in Council on the ninth day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in the Gazette on the twenty-second day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, at page 773, shall, as far as applicable, apply as if incorporated in this Order in Council.

Regulations under the Labour Disputes Investigation Act, 1913, amended.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him by section twenty-four of the Labour Disputes Investigation Act, 1913 (hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby amend the regulations under the said Act dated the twenty-seventh day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, and published in the Gazette of the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and fourteen, in the manner set forth in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby declare that these regulations shall come into force on the date of the publication thereof in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
THE regulations hereinbefore referred to are hereby amended as follows:—
- The following new regulations are hereby inserted after Regulation 2:—
“2A. A certificate purporting to be signed by the Minister that no notice pursuant to section 4 or section 11 of the Act has been received by him in connection with any dispute shall, unless proved to the contrary, be deemed to be sufficient evidence of that fact.
“2B. A certificate purporting to be signed by the Registrar that no secret ballot has been taken in connection with any dispute in accordance with section 7 or section 12 of the Act shall, unless proved to the contrary, be deemed to be sufficient evidence of that fact.”
- The following new regulation is hereby inserted after Regulation 14:—
“15. Proceedings for an offence under this Act against any unincorporated society may be taken against the society in its own name or against any officer of the society sued as representing the society, and service on the secretary or any officer of the society shall be deemed to be service on the society.”
