SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, containing by admeasurement 365 acres, more or less, and being the following four parts of Rabbit Island, in Block II, Waimea Survey District :—
All that area containing 22 acres 2 roods, bounded towards the south-west by a line 15 chains long and 15 chains distant from and parallel to high-water mark, the centre of the said line being the centre of the track which crosses the island in a north-easterly direction from a point opposite to the north-east corner of Rough Island; towards the north-west by a line at right angles to the south-west boundary, and 750 links from the centre thereof; towards the north-east by high-water mark; and towards the south-east by a line 15 chains distant from and parallel to the north-west boundary.
Also all that area containing 41 acres 2 roods, being a strip of land lying 250 links on each side of the centre of the before-mentioned track. Bounded towards the southern end by high-water mark, and towards the northern end by the portion of the island firstly described above.
Also all that area containing 171 acres, being a strip of land 5 chains wide, starting from a point on the southern shore of the island, the said point being about 25 chains in a south-easterly direction from the south-west corner thereof, and thence following along high-water mark in a generally north-western, northerly, and south-easterly direction till it reaches the area firstly described above.
Also all that area containing 130 acres, being a strip of land 5 chains wide, starting from a point on the southern shore of the island, the said point being about 14 chains in a north-westerly direction from the south-east corner thereof, and thence following along high-water mark in a generally south-easterly, north-easterly, and north-westerly direction till it reaches the area firstly described above.
Be all the aforesaid dimensions more or less. As the said portions are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/371, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section forty-seven of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby appoint
The Ngaruawahia Borough Council
to be the Ngaruawahia Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto as from and after the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six; and doth hereby appoint Wednesday, the fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, at eight o’clock p.m., as the time when, and the Borough Council Office, Ngaruawahia, as the place where, the first meeting of the Board shall be held.

AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—NGARUAWAHIA DOMAIN.
SECTIONS 173 and 174, Suburbs of Newcastle North, Block VII, Newcastle Survey District : Area, 10 acres, more or less.

Also part Section 667, Town of Ngaruawahia : Area, 2 acres 0 roods 25·54 perches, more or less.

Exempting certain Native Land from Rates.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 20th day of April, 1926.

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section one hundred and four of the Rating Act, 1925, it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council, exempt any Native land liable to rates from all or any specified part of such rates :
And whereas it is desirable that such power should be exercised in respect of the land mentioned in the Schedule hereto :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority hereinbefore mentioned, and of every other power thereunto him enabling, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby exempt the Native land set out in the Schedule hereto from all rates (exclusive of special rates) hereafter made or levied by any local authority under the provisions of the Rating Act, 1925.
SCHEDULE.
ALL that area of land in the Waiariki Native Land Court District, known as Waioeka Pa, and being Lot 337A 2B, Parish of Waioeka, and which land is situate within the Opotiki County.

Extending Time for holding Election to fill Extraordinary Vacancy on Uapoto Drainage Board.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 23rd day of April, 1926.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS pursuant to section thirty-nine of the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1908 (now contained in section forty-two of the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925), an election to fill an extraordinary vacancy of one Trustee of the Uapoto Drainage District should have been held on the seventeenth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six :
And whereas it is expedient to extend the time for holding such election :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by section seventy-one of the Local Elections and Polls Act, 1925, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby extend the time for holding the aforesaid election of one Trustee of the Uapoto Drainage District; and doth hereby order and declare that the said election shall be held and take place on the fourteenth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.
