N.Z. MEDICAL CORPS.

Major R. L. Withers, M.B., is attached for duty to the 8th N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Nelson). Dated 20th March, 1926.

Major W. P. Johnson, M.B., ceases to be attached to the 1st Battalion, Hawke's Bay Regiment, and is transferred to the Reserve of Officers. Dated 6th April, 1926.

Major P. R. Woodhouse, D.S.O., M.C., M.B., is attached for duty to the 1st Battalion, Canterbury Regiment. Dated 25th March, 1926.

Captain W. D. S. Johnston, M.B., ceases to be attached to the 8th N.Z. Mounted Rifles (Nelson), and is attached for duty to the 1st Battalion, Nelson, Marlborough, and West Coast Regiment. Dated 20th March, 1926.

Captain J. G. Crawford, M.C., M.B., is posted to the Retired List with the rank of Major, under the provisions of G.O. 184/21, with permission to wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 20th March, 1926.

Notice of Intention to take the Leasehold Interest in Land in the City of Wellington for the Purposes of a Public Works Store.

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the Public Works Amendment Act, 1913, to take the estate of leasehold in the land described in the Schedule hereto held by E. W. Mills and Company (Limited) under lease from the Wellington Harbour Board for a term of twenty-one years from the twenty-eighth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and seventeen, such lease being registered in the Land and Deeds Registry Office at Wellington as No. 12346, for the purposes of a public-works store. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Head Office of the Public Works Department at Wellington and is there open for inspection ; and that all persons affected by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land required to be taken : 3 roods 14·7 perches.
Being Lot 4 and part Lot 5, D.P. 3510, being part Waterloo Quay Reclamation.

Situatived in the City of Wellington. (S.O. 2068.) In the Wellington Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 65408, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon bordered pink and coloured pink.

Special Order made by the Ohura County Council altering Riding Boundaries and adjusting Representation.

THE following special order, made by the Ohura County Council, is published in accordance with the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920.
Pursuant to section 100 of that Act, as amended by section 3 of the Counties Amendment Act, 1921-22, I hereby fix the 22nd day of April, 1926, as the date from which the special order shall take effect.

OHURA COUNTY COUNCIL.

I HEREBY certify that the following special order was made by the Ohura County Council at a special meeting held on the 3rd day of September, 1926, and confirmed at the ordinary meeting of the Council held on the 28th day of October, 1926.

That, for the purpose of the better adjustment of representation, the Council resolves by way of special order to divide the county into eight ridings, with a representative for each, the boundaries of such ridings to be as given below. Such special order to come into full force and effect only at the next county election in May, 1926, except in so far and to such extent as may be necessary for preparing any rolls or otherwise providing for such election.

Ongarue Riding.—All that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of the Ongarue River in line with the northern boundary of Section 3, Block VII, Tangitu Survey District; thence down the middle of the Ongarue River to a point in line with the northern boundary of Section 7, Block XII, Tangitu Survey District; thence to and along that boundary to the south-eastern boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua 60H, Block XII, Tangitu Survey District; thence south-westerly along that boundary and the south-eastern boundaries of Sections 4 and 5, Block XII, Tangitu Survey District, to Pukepoto Trig. Station; thence north - westerly and then north - easterly along the south-western and north-western boundaries of Section 4, Block XII, Tangitu Survey District, to the Koromiko Road; thence across that road and along its northern side to its junction with the Ohura Road; thence across that road and westerly along its northern side to the western boundary of Rangitoto-Tuhua 60E 2, Block XI, Tangitu Survey District; thence north-westerly generally along the western boundaries of Rangitoto-Tuhua 60E 2, Rangitoto-Tuhua 60J, Rangitoto-Tuhua 60D 2A 2, Rangitoto-Tuhua 60D 2A 1B, Rangitoto-Tuhua 60D 2A 1A, and Rangitoto-Tuhua 60D 2c to the south-eastern boundary of Section 18, Block V, Tangitu Survey District; thence south-westerly along the said south-eastern boundary to the western boundary of Tangitu Survey District; thence generally northerly along the said survey district boundary to its junction with the northern boundary of Block V, Tangitu Survey District; thence generally easterly along the northern boundaries of Blocks V, VI, and VII, Tangitu Survey District, to the middle of the Ongarue River, the point of commencement.

Otangiwaai Riding.—All that area in the Taranaki Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point at the south-eastern corner of Section 8, Block IV, Aria Survey District, and proceeding generally southerly along the western boundary of Ongarue Riding (hereinbefore described) to the point of its intersection with the northern boundary of Lot 3, part of Rangitoto-Tuhua 3F (D.P. 3939); thence generally
