Land taken for the Purposes of a Fire Brigade Station Site
in the City of Dunedin.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every
other power and authority in anyway enabling me in this
behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim
and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is
hereby taken for the purposes of a fire brigade station site, and
shall vest in the Dunedin Fire Board as from the date here-
after mentioned; and I do also declare that this Proclama-
tion shall take effect on and after the thirtieth day of April,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE areas of the pieces of land taken:-
A. R. P. Being
0 1 0·04 Section 3; coloured mauve.
0 0 7·28 Allotment 5, L.TP. 312, being part Section 1;
coloured yellow.
0 0 7·28 Allotment 6, L.TP. 312, being part Section 1;
coloured blue.
Situated in Block XXII, Town of Dunedin (City of
Dunedin).
In the Otago Land District ; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 65474, deposited
in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington,
in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as
above mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 10th day of
April, 1926.

Survey District, Uawa County.

every other power and authority in anyway enabling me in
this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the
Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of a road;
and I do also declare that this Proclamation shall take effect
on and after the thirtieth day of April, one thousand nine
hundred and twenty-six.

Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon
coloured as above mentioned.

General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 8th day of April,

His Majesty's Assent to the Shipping and Seamen Amendment
Act, 1925, and Date Act comes into Operation.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by the Constitution Act it is, amongst other
things, provided that no Bill reserved for the signifi-
cation of His Majesty's pleasure thereon shall have any force
or authority within the Dominion of New Zealand until the
Governor-General of the said Dominion signifies by speech or
message to the Legislative Council and the House of Repre-
sentatives of the said Dominion, or by Proclamation, that
such Bill has been laid before His Majesty in Council, and
that His Majesty has been pleased to assent to the same :
And whereas a certain Bill passed by the Legislative Council
and House of Representatives of the said Dominion intitled
"An Act to amend the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908," the
Short Title of which is "The Shipping and Seamen Amend-
ment Act, 1925," was presented to the Governor-General for
His Majesty's assent, and the said Bill was reserved for the
signification of His Majesty's pleasure thereon:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the power
and authority conferred upon me by the provisions of the
said in-part-recited Act, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson,
Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do by this Proclamation signify and proclaim to all whom it
may concern that the said Bill has been laid before His
Majesty in Council, and that His Majesty has been pleased
to assent to the same; and I do further declare that it shall
come into operation on the first day of May, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-six.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 13th day of April,
1926.
