BOROUGH OF ONEHUNGA.

SPECIAL ORDER RAISING LOAN OF £7,500.

PURSUANT to its powers under section 18 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and all other powers enabling it in that behalf, the Onehunga Borough Council, being the Council of the Mayor, Councillors, and Burgesses of the Borough of Onehunga, hereby resolves by way of special order to raise a supplementary loan of £7,500 (seven thousand five hundred pounds), being ten per centum of the original loan of £75,000 raised for road and footpath formation, at a rate of interest not exceeding six per centum per annum, for a period of thirty-six and a half years.

RANGIORA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Rangiora Borough Council hereby further resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and sinking fund and other charges on the Town Hall 10 per cent. Loan, £800, authorized to be raised by the Rangiora Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, and for the completion of the town hall, library, and reading-room, and the furnishing of same, the said Rangiora Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-tenth of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property comprising the whole of the Borough of Rangiora in Canterbury, New Zealand; and that the said special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of the said loan, and to be payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day of October each and every year during the currency of the said loan, being for a period of twenty years, or until loan is fully paid off.

MASTERTON COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Masterton County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a loan of four hundred pounds (£400) authorized to be raised by the Masterton County Council under the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of providing the Masterton County Council’s share of the cost of constructing the bridge over Dorset’s Creek, near Mauriceville, and known as Dorset’s Creek Bridge, on the Masterton-Mauriceville Road, the said Masterton County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of a six-hundredth part of a penny in the pound upon the capital rateable value of all rateable property of the County of Masterton; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION INCREASING SPECIAL RATE.—TE WHANGA ROAD LOAN, £300.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Horowhenua County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest and other charges on a loan of three hundred pounds authorized to be raised by the Horowhenua County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of forming and metalling a portion of the Te Whanga Road, the said Council pursuant to section 22 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, hereby increases to three-hundred-and-forty-seven five-hundredths of a penny (347/500ths) in the pound sterling the special rate of five-eighths of a penny (⅝d.) in the pound sterling made and levied by resolution passed by the said Council on the 12th day of July, 1924, on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Te Whanga Road Special-rating District, such rate of five-eighths of a penny (⅝d.) in the pound sterling being insufficient to provide for the payment of interest and other charges on such loan; and that such special rate as increased shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIAPU COUNTY COUNCIL.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD AND TO CLOSE A ROAD.

In the matter of the Counties Act, 1920, and the Public Works Act, 1908.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Waiapu County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work—namely, altering the course of a road; and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the First Schedule hereto are required to be taken; and, further, that it is proposed to close the portions of road described in the Second Schedule hereto.

Notice is further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken and closed is deposited in the public office of the Clerk to the said Council at Waipiro Bay, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.

All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking and closing of such lands, who have any well-founded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking or closing of the said lands, must state their objection in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of the said notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Waipiro Bay.
