Altering Boundaries of Waimea and Sounds Counties.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS in accordance with subsection three of section six of the Counties Amendment Act, 1925 (hereinafter referred to as "the said Act"), and on petition signed by not less than two-thirds of the ratepayers in the area described in the First Schedule hereto, the Waimea County Council has passed a resolution recommending that the said area be excluded from the Waimea County (a county in which the Counties Act, 1920, is in force) and included in the Sounds County (a county in which the Counties Act, 1920, is not in force):

And whereas it is expedient to make such alterations of boundaries of the said counties in accordance with the said resolution:

Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by the said Act, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and declare that the area described in the First Schedule hereto, shall be excluded from the Waimea County, and included in the Sounds County; and that the boundaries of the Waimea and Sounds Counties as so altered shall be those set forth under the respective headings in the Second Schedule hereto:

And I do also proclaim and declare that this Proclamation shall take effect on the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six.

FIRST SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM WAIMEA COUNTY AND INCLUDED IN SOUNDS COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District bounded by a line commencing at the summit of North Castor Peak; thence by a right line to the sea at Pukerau Point; thence generally easterly by the sea to a point in Croisilles Harbour due west of the westernmost point of Elaine Bay; thence due east to that point; and thence easterly along the southern shore of Elaine Bay to the south-eastern corner of Reserve 2, Block VII, Wangamoa Survey District; thence along the south-eastern boundaries of Reserve 2 and Sections 6 and 8, Block VII aforesaid, to Boundary Trig. Station; thence south-westerly generally along the range and passing through Mount McLaren, McLarens's Peak, Editor Peak, Elliot Peak, and Teranga to North Castor Peak, the point of commencement.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

WAIMEA COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District bounded towards the north generally by the ocean from the northern head of Torrent Bay to Pukerau Point; thence by a right line from Pukerau Point to North Castor Peak; thence along the summit of the range over Tapamutu and Saddle Hill to the source of the Heringa Stream; thence by that stream to its confluence with the Pelorus River, and by that river to its source near Red Hills; thence to and along the summit of the range over Red Hills, Mount Rintoul, and Bush Cone to the summit of Wards Pass, and along a right line to Trig. Station Top 2 (Mangatawai); thence along the summit of the St. Arnaud Range to a point where the south-western watershed of the Motupiko and Rainy Rivers join the St. Arnaud Range; thence along the said watershed to its junction with the spur between Cow Creek and the Buller River, and along the summit of that spur to the confluence of the Hope and Buller Rivers; thence along a right line to Mount Owen, and along the summit of the range over Mount Luna, Mount Arthur, Crusader, and Mount Evans to a point due west of the northern head of Torrent Bay; and thence along a right line to the said northern head of Torrent Bay, the place of commencement: excluding the City of Nelson and the Boroughs of Richmond and Motueka.

SOUNDS COUNTY.

ALL that area in the Nelson and Marlborough Land Districts bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast at Pukerau Point; thence by the sea to the southernmost point of White's Bay; thence by a right line on a bearing of 315° to the summit of the watershed about 50 chains south-west of Mount Robertson; thence by that watershed and the eastern boundary of the Waikawa Native Reserve to Karaka Point; thence by Queen Charlotte Sound to a point in line with the western boundary of Section 4 (Native reserve) Block VII, Linkwater Survey District; thence to and along that boundary to the north-western corner of the said Section 4; thence by a right line to the north-western corner of Section 21, Block VII aforesaid; thence by the production

of that boundary to the sea, and by the sea-coast to Black Point (Watanuihi); thence by the watershed from Black Point to McLaren's Peak; thence south-westerly generally along the range and passing through Editor Hill, Elliot Peak, and Teranga to North Castor Peak; thence by a right line from North Castor Peak to Pukerau Point, the place of commencement.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of March, 1926.

Altering Boundaries of Auckland and Suburban Drainage District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Board has presented a memorial requesting that the areas described in such memorial be declared to form part of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage District (hereinafter referred to as "the said district"):

And whereas the Governor-General is satisfied that the inclusion of such areas in the said district will prove beneficial to the inhabitants and the owners of property therein:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in me in that behalf by section ninety-five of the Auckland and Suburban Drainage Act, 1908, do hereby proclaim and declare that on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, the areas described in the Schedule hereto shall be included in and form part of the said district.

SCHEDULE.

AREAS TO BE INCLUDED IN AUCKLAND AND SUBURBAN DRAINAGE DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the One Tree Hill Road District bounded by a line commencing at the most easterly point of the intersection of Green Lane with the Great South Road, on the north-east by the north-eastern alignment of Great South Road to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Lot 8 on plan No. 16452, deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland; thence across the Great South Road and by the said south-eastern boundary of Lot 8 and the south-eastern boundary of Lot 24; thence on the east by the eastern boundaries of Lots 23, 22, and 21; thence on the north-west, north-east, and south-east by the north-western, north-eastern, and south-eastern boundaries of Lot 20, all on the aforementioned plan No. 16452; thence on the south-west by the south-western boundary of said Lot 20, for a distance of 390 links; thence generally on the south-east by a line bearing 198° 11', for a distance of 1375 links; a line bearing 287° 10', for a distance of 405 links (be the same distances a little more or less); and a line bearing 217° 56', to its intersection with the north-eastern alignment of Arawa Street; thence by the said north-eastern alignment of Arawa Street to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Cadman Settlement, across Arawa Street, and by the said north-western boundary of Cadman Settlement, to the boundary between Lots 34 and 35 of Cadman Settlement; thence by the said boundary to its intersection with Arawa Street; thence by the north-western alignment of Arawa Street to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 52, across Arawa Street, and by the said boundary and the south-eastern boundary of said Lot 52 to the north-eastern boundary of Road Reserve shown on plan No. 17733, deposited in the Land Registry Office at Auckland, by the said north-eastern boundary of road reserve to its intersection with Ngapuhi Street; thence generally by the north-western alignment of Ngapuhi Street to its intersection with Horotutu Road; thence by the north-eastern alignment of Horotutu Road to a point in line with the north-western alignment of Tawa Road, across Horotutu Road, and by the said north-western alignment of Tawa Road to its intersection with Kowhai Road; thence by the north-eastern alignment of Kowhai Road to its intersection with the north-western boundary of Lot 73, across Kowhai Road, and by the north-western boundary of Lot 97, all on the aforementioned plan No. 17733; thence by the existing boundary of the One Tree Hill Road District to its intersection with the south-eastern alignment of Campbell Road; thence by the south-eastern alignment of Campbell Road to a point opposite the intersection
