The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 418; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 143; informal, 22.
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Otahuhu was taken on the 16th day of December, 1925, on the proposal of the Otahuhu Borough Council to borrow the sum of £9,050 for the permanent construction of Princes Street.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 171; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 372; informal, 40.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Otahuhu was taken on the 16th day of December, 1925, on the proposal of the Otahuhu Borough Council to borrow the sum of £15,000 for the permanent construction of Panmure Road.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 239; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 309; informal, 35.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Otahuhu was taken on the 16th day of December, 1925, on the proposal of the Otahuhu Borough Council to borrow the sum of £11,000 for the permanent construction of Mangere Road.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 256; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 294; informal, 33.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Otahuhu was taken on the 16th day of December, 1925, on the proposal of the Otahuhu Borough Council to borrow the sum of £6,200 for the permanent construction of Huia Road.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 188; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 365; informal, 30.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.
Pursuant to section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that a poll of the ratepayers of the Borough of Otahuhu was taken on the 16th day of December, 1925, on the proposal of the Otahuhu Borough Council to borrow the sum of £1,000 for the purchase of instruments, uniforms, and equipment for the use of the Otahuhu Municipal Brass Band.
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 181; the number of votes recorded against the proposal was 371; informal, 31.
I therefore declare that the proposal was rejected.

RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.
Pursuant to the provisions of section 12 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, I hereby give notice that the following is the result of a poll of the ratepayers of the Onewhero Hall Special-rating District of the County of Raglan, taken on the 18th day of December, 1925, on the proposal to borrow the sum of £2,000 for the purpose of erecting a public hall at Onewhero:
Total number of valid votes recorded, 215: for the proposal, 122; against the proposal, 93.
As the total number of valid votes recorded in favour of the proposal is not equal to three-fifths of the total number of valid votes recorded, I hereby declare the proposal to be rejected.

Prohibition of Issue of Money-orders and Transmission of Postal Correspondence in New Zealand for Meadowbank Art Union, Sydney.
THE Postmaster-General of the Dominion of New Zealand having reasonable ground for supposing that the organization and persons whose names and addresses are shown in the Schedule hereunder are engaged in promoting or carrying out a lottery or scheme of chance, it is hereby ordered, under section 28 of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, that no money-order in favour of the said organization or either of the said persons shall be issued, and that no postal packet addressed to the said organization or to either of the said persons (either by its, his, or her own, or any fictitious or assumed name), or addressed to any of the addressees in the Schedule hereunder without name, shall be either registered or forwarded by the Post Office of New Zealand.
