1925, issued under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General in terms of section 182 of the Counties Act, 1920, for the purpose of providing the cost of constructing and installing a domestic water-supply at Matatoki, the said Thames County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny halfpenny (1½d.) in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property (on the basis of the unimproved value) within the Matatoki Water-supply Special-rating Area; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SPECIAL-RATING AREA.

Commencing at the north-eastern corner of Lot 8, Wainui, Marshall’s Farm, on the south-western boundary of the Thames to Paeroa Railway Reserve, thence in a south-westerly direction along the south-east boundaries of the aforesaid Lot 8 and Lots 9, 10, 11, and 12, all of Marshall’s Farm, to the intersection of Okewa Block 5416; thence generally along the north boundary of the aforesaid Okewa Block 5416 and Hapururahu Block to the north-western corner of the Hapururahu Block; thence by the western boundary of the said Hapururahu Block to a point in line with the right bank of the Waihou River; and thence in a westerly and northerly direction along the right bank of the aforesaid Waihou River to the intersection with the north-western boundary of Section Te Kopua No. 2A; thence in a north-east direction generally along the north-western boundaries of the aforesaid Section Te Kopua No. 2A, and Lots 26, 25, 24, 23, 22, 21, and 20, all of Marshall’s Farm, to the south-western boundary of the Matatoki Railway-station; and thence along the south-western boundary of the aforesaid Matatoki Railway-station and Thames to Paeroa Railway Reserve to the point of commencement.

MARLBOROUGH COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTIONS MAKING SPECIAL RATES.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Marlborough County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

Loan of £10,000.

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Marlborough County Machinery and Plant Loan of £10,000, 1925, under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of purchasing roadmaking machinery and plant and erection of necessary buildings and whares, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-seventeenth (1/17th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Marlborough; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Loan of £5,000.

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Marlborough County Bridges Loan of £5,000, 1925, authorized to be raised by the Marlborough County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of building new bridges and renewing existing county bridges, the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-fourth (1/34th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the County of Marlborough; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purposes of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Franklin County Council Rama Rama – Bombay Road Special-rating Area Loan of £1,200 (1925), authorized to be raised by the Franklin County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling the Rama Rama to Bombay Road, the said Franklin County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and one farthing (1¼d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Rama Rama – Bombay Road Special-rating Area, being part of Drury Riding of the County of Franklin, being more particularly described in the Schedule hereto; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Eketa-huna County Te Hoe Stream Bridges Loan No. 4 of £800, 1925, authorized to be raised by the Eketa-huna County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of building three bridges the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three-eighths of a penny (⅜d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Te Hoe Stream Bridges Loan No. 4 Special-rating Area—bounded, commencing at the north-east point of Section 127, Block XI, Puketoi, and traversing the northern boundaries of Section 127, Block XI, Puketoi, and Sections 129, 131, 134, 135, 136, and then in a south-westerly direction along the western boundary of Sections 136 and 135 to the northern point of Section 192, and following the north-west boundary of Section 192 and along the south-west boundary of Section 192 to the north-west point of Section 194; thence south on the western boundaries of Sections 194, 196, Block X, Puketoi Survey District, to the north-west point of Section 199 in Block XIV, Puketoi Survey District; and thence along the western boundaries of Section 199; and thence in a straight south-western line to the most western point of Lot 4 of Section 151, Block XIII, Mangaone; and thence north-west along the north-east boundary of Lot 6 of 151; and then south-west to the most southern point of
