WAITOTARA COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Waitotara County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Waitotara County Kauarapaoa Special-rating District Loan of £750, 1925, authorized to be raised by the Waitotara County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling a portion of the Wanganui River Bank Road (right bank), the said Waitotara County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-sixteenths (5/16ths) of a penny in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Kauarapaoa Special-rating District, being described as all that area in the Wellington Land District, commencing at a point on the right bank of the Wanganui River, being the south-east corner of Subdivision 4E No. 1 of Puketarata Block, Block X, Waipakura Survey District, thence proceeding generally in a south-westerly direction along the right bank of the said Wanganui River to the north-east corner of Te Korito No. 5N Block, Block XIII, Waipakura Survey District; thence proceeding in a westerly and northerly direction by the northern boundary of the said Te Korito No. 5N Block, Sections 203 and 191, to the north-west corner of the said Section 191; thence bounded towards the west by the boundaries of Lots 2 and 1 on plan numbered 5653 and by the other part of Subdivision D 3N, Tunahaere Block, as shown on plan numbered A/2686, deposited in the Lands Registry Office at Wellington; thence by a right line to the south-east corner of Section 2, Block IX, Waipakura Survey District; thence by the eastern boundary of said Section 2, the western boundaries of Reserve 4, Sections 23 and 22, Block IX, Waipakura Survey District, Sections 26 and 3, Block V, Waipakura Survey District; thence along the south-western boundary of the Kauarapaoa Block for a distance of approximately 29 chains; thence by a right line on a bearing of 20 degrees through Trig. Te Maru to the north-eastern boundary of the said Kauarapaoa Block; thence proceeding from the last-mentioned point in a north-westerly direction along the south-western boundaries of Sections 2 and 1 and Subdivision E, Ahu Ahu Block, Block I, Waipakura Survey District, Section 4, Block XIII, Taurira Survey District; thence along the south-western, north-western, and north-eastern boundaries of Section 1, Block XVI, Momohaki Survey District; thence generally in a south-eastern direction along the north-eastern boundaries of Section 4, Block XIII, Taurira Survey District, Sections 1 and 2, Block I, Waipakura Survey District; thence along the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Section 2, Block II, Waipakura Survey District, to the most northerly corner of Subdivision 4C No. 2, Te Tuhi Block; then in a south-easterly direction to the south-east corner of said Subdivision 4C No. 2, Te Tuhi Block; thence in a south-easterly direction to the north-eastern corner of Subdivision 4E No. 12, Puketarata Block; thence along the eastern boundaries of said Subdivision 4E No. 2 and Subdivision 4E No. 1, Puketarata Block, to the point of commencement. And that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THAMES COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers, if any, it thereunto enabling, the Thames County Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of two thousand two hundred pounds (£2,200), authorized to be raised by the Thames County Council by and with the consent of the ratepayers of the Matatoki Water-supply Special-rating Area testified by a petition signed by not less than three-fourths of the ratepayers in the said Matatoki Water-supply Special-rating Area, the capital value of whose properties as appearing in the valuation roll of Thames County is collectively greater than the capital values of the properties of the ratepayers who did not so consent, and by virtue of an Order in Council dated the 25th day of August,
