middle of the Tauherenikau Road, in line with the production
of the south-western boundary-line of Section 38, Moroa
Block; thence towards the north-east by a line along the
middle of the Tauherenikau Road to a point in line with the
north-eastern boundary-line of Section 54, Moroa Block,
thence in a south-easterly direction to and by the said
boundary-line, and the production thereof to the middle of
the Moroa Road; thence towards the north-east by a line
along the middle of the said Moroa Road to its intersection
with the middle of Kempton’s Road; again towards the
south-east by a line along the middle of Kempton’s Road to
a point in line with the western boundary-line of Subdivision
D, Pahuri Block; thence again towards the north-east to
and by the western boundary-lines of the said Subdivision D,
Subdivision B, and the production thereof to the middle of
the Papawai Road; thence again towards the south-east by
a line along the middle of the Papawai Road to a point
opposite the western boundary-line of Subdivision A, Purakau
Block; thence towards the north-east to and by the western
boundary-lines of Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9 on plan 283, deposited
as aforesaid, being part of the said Subdivision A, Purakau
Block, to the middle of Jellicoe Street; thence towards the
north-west by a line along the middle of Jellicoe Street to a
point opposite the south-eastern boundary-line of Lot 2 on
plan 3240 aforesaid; and thence again towards the north-
east to and by the said boundary-line of Lot 2 to its inter-
section with the existing boundary of the Borough of Grey-
town, the point of commencement.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 30th day
of March, 1926.

Present:

THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.

WHEREAS in pursuance of section one hundred and
thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,
a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying
that a certain area should be excluded from the Borough of
Greytown and included in the County of Featherston:
And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section
held inquiries and recommended certain alterations of the
said area:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to make the alteration
of boundaries of the said borough recommended by the said
Commission, and to declare to what riding of the said county
such area shall be added:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and
authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act,
1920, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-six, the area described in the Schedule
hereto shall be excluded from the Borough of Greytown and
included in the County of Featherston, and, with the like
advice and consent, doth hereby further declare that as on
and from the aforesaid date the area included as aforesaid in
the County of Featherston shall be added to and form part
of the Greytown Riding of that county.


SCHEDULE.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM BOROUGH OF GREYTOWN.

ALL that area in the Wellington Land District, situated in
Block XIII, Tiffin Survey District, bounded by a line commenc-
ing at a point on the right bank of the Waiohine River, being
the intersection of the said river with the north-western side
of Udy Street, and proceeding thence in a south-westerly
direction along the said side of Udy Street to the south-
eastern corner of part of Rural Section 28, Greytown Small
Farm Settlement Block, as shown on plan A/2907 deposited
in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington;
thence towards the north-west by the south-western boundary
of the said part of Rural Section 28 and the production thereof
to the western boundary-line of Rural Section 32, Greytown
Small Farm Settlement Block; thence towards the south-
west by the said boundary-line of Rural Section 32 and the
production thereof across Kuratawhiti Street, through Rural
Section 18, to a point in the middle of Wood Street; thence
towards the south-east by a line along the middle of Wood
Street to a point in line with the western boundary-line of
Rural Section 10, Greytown Small Farm Settlement Block;
thence towards the south-west by the said boundary-line of
Section 10 and the production thereof to a point in the middle
of Humphries Street; thence towards the south-east by a
line along the middle of Humphries Street to a point in line
with the south-eastern boundary-line of Section 51, Moroa
Block; thence again towards the south-west by the said
boundary-line of Section 51, and the production thereof to
the south-western boundary-line of the existing Borough of
Greytown as described in New Zealand Gazette No. 115, of the
21st November, 1878, page 1613; thence towards the north-
west and north-east generally by the said borough boundary
to the Waiohine River; and again towards the north-east
generally by the right bank of the said river to its intersection
with the north-western side of Udy Street, the point of com-
men cement.
