said sitting of the said motion on appeal by the Bank of New
Zealand against John William Baker.

Boundaries of Borough of Otaki altered.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 8th day
of March, 1926.
Present:
THE RIGHT HONOURABLE J. G. COATES, P.C., PRESIDING IN
COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, in pursuance of section one hundred and
thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920,
a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying
that a certain area should be excluded from the Borough of
Otaki and included in the County of Horowhenua:
And whereas a Commission appointed under the said section
held inquiries, and recommended certain alterations of the
said area:
And whereas it is deemed expedient to make such alter-
ation of boundaries of the said borough, and to declare to
what riding of the said county such area shall be added:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers
and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations
Act, 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Do-
minion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, the area described
in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the Borough of
Otaki and included in the County of Horowhenua; and,
with the like advice and consent, doth hereby further declare
that as on and from the aforesaid date the area included as
aforesaid in the County of Horowhenua shall be added to and
form part of the Otaki Riding of that county.
SCHEDULE.
AREA EXCLUDED FROM BOROUGH OF OTAKI.
ALL that area in the Wellington Land District bounded on
the north by the Waitohu Stream from the north-eastern
corner of the Taumanuka Block to the north-western corner
of the Mangapouri Block; thence on the east by the Manga-
pouri and Piritha Blocks to the south-western corner of the
last-mentioned block; thence on the south, south-west, and
south-east by the western boundary of the other part of
Church Mission and School Grant Deeds 28-299, and the
production of that boundary to a public road; thence easterly
along the northern side of that road a distance of 6057 links;
thence 23° 10', distance 278.7 links, thence 113° 10', distance
4015 links, thence 202° 25', distance 3082 links, being the
western boundary of the land shown on plan 2554 deposited
in the office of the District Land Registrar at Wellington to
the aforesaid public road, across that road, and along the
production of the aforesaid boundary for a distance of 2362
links; thence westerly along the northern boundaries of Te
Ahitangutu and Whakarangi No. 5 Blocks to the Maringiawai
Stream; thence westerly generally along that stream to the
south-eastern boundary of the Taumanuka Block; thence
northerly generally along the eastern boundaries of the Tau-
manuka Block to the Waitohu Stream, the place of com-
mencement: and being all the land shown on plan 3364
deposited in the office of the District Land Registrar at
Wellington.

AREA EXCLUDED FROM BOROUGH OF OHAKUNE.
ALL that area in the Land District of Wellington bounded
by a line commencing at the north-eastern corner of Lot 12
on plan 4250 deposited in the office of the District Land
Registrar at Wellington; thence south-westerly along the
south-eastern boundary of the said Lot 12 and the south-
eastern boundary of Section 26, Block VIII, Makotuku Survey
District, to the public road forming part of the south-eastern
boundary of the said Section 26; thence along the north-
western side of that road to the south-western boundary
of the said Section 26; thence north-westerly along that
boundary to a public road; thence north-easterly along that
road to the northern boundary-line of Section 26, Block VIII
aforesaid; thence easterly along that boundary to the eastern
boundary-line of Lots 2, 3, and 4 on plan 4250 deposited as
aforesaid; thence north-easterly along that boundary to the
north-eastern corner of Lot 4; thence north-westerly along
the north-eastern boundary of Lot 4 aforesaid to a public
road; thence north-easterly along that road to the western-
most corner of Lot 5 on the said plan; thence south-easterly
along the south-western boundary of the said Lot 5 to its
south-eastern corner; thence north-easterly along the south-
eastern boundaries of Lots 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10 to the north-
eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence easterly
along the southern boundary of Lot 11, plan 4250 aforesaid,
to the south-eastern corner of the said Lot 11; thence
northerly along the eastern boundary of Lot 11 to the north-
western corner of Lot 12 aforesaid; thence south-easterly
along the northern boundary of Lot 12 aforesaid to its north-
eastern corner, the point of commencement.
