LOWER MANGAPIKO DRAINAGE BOARD.
RESOLUTION INCREASING SPECIAL DIFFERENTIAL RATES.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Lower Mangapiko Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Lower Mangapiko Drainage Board Te Rahu Subdivision Loan of £1,000, 1926, authorized to be raised by the Lower Mangapiko Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of reconstruction of the Mangapiko Stream within the Te Rahu Subdivision, the said Board, pursuant to section 22 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, hereby increases the special differential rates on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Te Rahu Subdivision of the Lower Mangapiko Drainage District, as follows:—
On lands classified “A” a special rate of two-fifths (2/5ths) of a penny in the pound sterling:
On lands classified “B” a special rate of four twenty-fifths (4/25ths) of a penny in the pound sterling:
On lands classified “C” a special rate of four one hundred and twenty-fifths (4/125ths) of a penny in the pound sterling,—
made and levied by resolution passed by the said Board on the 16th day of July, 1925, and gazetted on the 30th day of July, 1925, at page 2189, to the special differential rates as follows:—
On lands classified “A” a special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound sterling:
On lands classified “B” a special rate of one-fifth (1/5th) of a penny in the pound sterling:
On lands classified “C” a special rate of one twenty-fifth (1/25th) of a penny in the pound sterling,—
such former differential rates being insufficient to provide for payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on such loan; and that such special differential rates as increased shall be annually recurring differential rates during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
