FEATHERSTON COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Feathers-
ton County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Featherston
County Main Highways Loan of £12,000, 1926, authorized to
be raised by the Featherston County Council under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of regrading, widening, and
providing culverts, bridges, and drains, to surface and coat
with bitumen material the following main highways—viz.,
that portion of the Wellington-Napier Main Highway between
Greytown and the Waiohine Bridge and the whole of the
Featherston–Martinborough Main Highway between the
Featherston Borough and the Martinborough Town District
—the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
one-tenth (1/10th) of a penny in the pound sterling on the
rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property in the whole of the County of Featherston;
and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the first day of April in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.

MANUKAU COUNTY COUNCIL.
TURANGA RIDING ROAD IMPROVEMENT LOAN OF £4,200,
1926.—RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Manu-
kau County Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Manukau
County (Turanga Riding) Road-improvement Loan of £4,200,
1926, authorized to be raised by the Manukau County Council
under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of culverting,
draining, widening, and improving grades on the Maraetai
Main Road between the Maungaroa Bridge and the Maraetai
Wharf and metalling the unmetalled portions of the said
road, in the Turanga Riding of the County of Manukau
(£4,200), the said Manukau County Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one-third (⅓) of a penny in the
pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the
capital value) of all rateable property in the Turanga Riding
of the County of Manukau; and that such special rate shall
be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan
is fully paid off.

WANGANUI CITY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Wanganui City Council hereby resolves as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of twenty-two thousand
pounds (£22,000), authorized to be raised by the Wanganui
City Council under the above-mentioned Act for the follow-
ing purposes, namely:—
The making, constructing, and furnishing of mains for the
supply of gas in the City of Wanganui, the extending of
the existing gas-mains, the providing of additional mains,
service pipes, and meters, the purchase or acquisition of
lands, plant, machinery, and appliances, and the making,
supplying, and doing of all and every matter and thing
incidental to or connected with or relating to all, every,
or any of the purposes aforesaid,—
the Wanganui City Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one penny three farthings (1¾d.) in the pound upon
the rateable value (on the basis of the annual value) of all
rateable property of the City of Wanganui, comprising the
whole of the City of Wanganui, the boundaries whereof are
defined in the New Zealand Gazette of the 27th day of March,
1924, Number 17, at page 734; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable half-yearly on the 1st day of March
and the 1st day of September in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20)
years from the 1st day of March, 1926.

WAIRARAPA ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the
Wairarapa Electric-power Board, at a meeting of the said
Board held at Carterton on the 9th day of February, 1926,
hereby resolved as follows:—
That, for the purpose of providing interest, sinking fund,
and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be
raised by the said Board under the above-mentioned Act,
for the purpose of completing the undertaking authorized by
the poll of ratepayers of the Wairarapa Electric-power Dis-
trict taken on the 27th day of April, 1921, as modified by
the provisions of section 82 of the Reserves and other Lands
Disposal and Public Bodies Empowering Act, 1922, the said
Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of one thirty-
second (1/32nd) of a penny in the pound sterling on the
rateable value on the basis of the capital value of all rateable
property in the Wairarapa Electric-power Board District;
and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate
during the currency of the said loan, and be payable yearly
on the first day of October in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or
until the loan is fully paid off.
