At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day of December, 1925.

Present:

THE HONOURABLE J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waiapu County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road permitted to be stopped : 5 acres 3 roods 5 perches, adjoining or passing through Tikitiki Block.

Situated in Block V, Waiapu Survey District. (S.O. 1214, brown.)

In the Gisborne Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 64905, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

WHEREAS by section sixty-nine of the Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed “the said Act”), as amended by the Rabbit Nuisance Amendment Act, 1918, it is provided that the Governor-General may from time to time, by Order in Council gazetted, on petition in that behalf from a majority of the ratepayers therein, constitute and declare any part of New Zealand defined in such Order in Council a district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act :

And whereas a petition in accordance with the provisions of the said Act has been received, asking that the lands described in the Schedule hereto be constituted and declared a rabbit district for the purpose of Part III of the said Act :

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by the said Act and its amendments, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby constitute by the specific name of the “Marlborough Coast Rabbit District” and declare that part of New Zealand defined in the Schedule hereto to be a district for the purposes of Part III of the said Act ; and doth hereby further declare that the Board of Trustees shall in terms of the said Act consist of six members.

SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land in the Provincial District of Marlborough containing approximately 57,000 acres, and bounded as follows : Commencing at the mouth of the Clarence River in Block XI, Puhipuhi Survey District, thence in a westerly, northerly, and north-easterly direction by the middle of the Clarence River to a point due west of the trig. station on the Mole Hill in Block XVIII, Whernside Survey District; thence due east to the above-mentioned trig. station ; thence in a northerly direction by the watershed known as the Ladies Range and Front Range to Trig. P on Ragged Robin, Block VIII, Whernside Survey District; thence in a westerly, northerly, north-easterly, and south-easterly direction by the western and northern boundaries of Small Grazing-run 187, the north-eastern boundary of Section 1, Block IX, Whernside Survey District, and the south-eastern boundary of Small Grazing-run 183A to the junction of the two main streams of Woodside Creek ; thence in a northerly direction generally by a right line? to the southernmost corner of Section 277, Block XVI, Cape Campbell, by the south-western boundaries of Sections 277, 278, 279, 280, and 281, and by the north-western boundary of 281, Block XVI aforesaid, to the Ure River ; thence in an easterly direction by the Ure River to a point due south of the westernmost corner of Section 1, Block X, Cape Campbell Survey District ; thence due north to that corner ; thence in an easterly direction by the northern boundary of above-mentioned section to peg V on that boundary ; thence in an easterly direction by a right line to the trig. station on Single Hill and its prolongation to the sea ; thence in a south-westerly direction by the sea to the point of commencement.

Fixing Amount of Principal and Interest payable under Section 331 of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, in respect of Advances for the Erection of Workers' Dwellings.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by section three hundred and thirty-one of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, as amended by section sixteen of the Municipal Corporations Amendment Act, 1921–22, and section twenty-nine of the Finance Act, 1922, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the amount of principal and interest respectively to be paid by instalments during each period of six months in respect of an advance to a worker under that section shall be calculated according to such one of the tables in the Schedule hereto as the case may require.
