SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Bay of Islands County.—Omapere Survey District.
Section 3, Block IV: Area, 315 acres 1 rood 15 perches;
capital value, £280; half-yearly rent, £5 12s.
Section situated on the Kerikeri-Okaihau Road, about
seven miles from Kerikeri Landing by formed road. Country
is flat to undulating, covered with fern, manuka, and hakea,
with small patches of bush in gullies. Soil is of fair quality
in gullies, with ironstone and poor clay on higher land.
Altitude ranges from 500 ft. to 800 ft. above sea-level.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 21st day of December, 1925.

Opening Land in North Auckland Land District for Selection
on Renewable Lease.
CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
conferred upon me by the Land Act, 1924, I, General
Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Do-

minion of New Zealand, do hereby declare that the land
described in the Schedule hereto shall be open for selection
on renewable lease on Tuesday, the sixteenth day of February,
one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, at the rental
mentioned in the said Schedule; and I do also declare that
the said land shall be leased under and subject to section one
hundred and fifty-three of the said Act, as it contains, or is
supposed to contain, metal, mineral, or valuable stone.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.—SECOND-CLASS LAND.
Bay of Islands County.—Kawakawa Survey District.
SECTIONS 56, 58, and 59, Block XVI: Area, 44 acres 3 roods
34 perches; capital value, £90; half-yearly rent, £1 16s.
Situated on the Kawakawa-Whangarei Road, about one and
a half miles from Kawakawa Post-office. Easy sloping undu-
lating country in short manuka and hakea. Soil is of poor
quality. Suitable for afforestation purposes.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 21st day of December, 1925.
