Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Hakaru Domain.
being Reserve 3824, part of Rural Section No. 76, situated
in the City of Christchurch, and bounded as follows : Towards
the north-east by Domain Terrace Road, a total distance of
2097·8 links ; towards the south-east by Lot 6 of D.P. 3270,
607 links ; towards the south-west by the River Heathcote ;
and towards the north-west by other part of Rural Section 76, 845·16 links. As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 1/137, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 21st day
of December, 1925.

THE HONOURABLE J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by an Order in Council dated the twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, and published in Gazette of the second day of June, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, the Kaiwaka Domain Board was constituted and appointed to control the Kaiwaka Domain, in pursuance of section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908:
And whereas it is desired to change the name of the said Kaiwaka Domain to Hakaru Domain:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the said Act, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, from and after the date hereof, be known as the Hakaru Domain ; and, with the like advice and consent as aforesaid, doth hereby revoke the Order in Council dated the twenty-fifth day of May, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-one, hereinbefore referred to, and doth hereby appoint
James Edwin Brown,
Robert Hastie,
Joseph William Mayes,
Butler Miller Ryan, and
William Stewart
to be the Hakaru Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of the said Act.
The first meeting of the said Board shall be held on Saturday, the sixteenth day of January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, at two o'clock p.m., at the Hakaru Hall, Hakaru.
SCHEDULE.
HAKARU DOMAIN.--NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.
ALLOTMENT 125, Parish of Kaiwaka : Area, 5 acres 0 roods 17·1 perches, more or less.
Also Allotment 177, Parish of Kaiwaka : Area, 1 acre 0 roods 38 perches, more or less.

THE HONOURABLE J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Reserves and Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter termed "the said Act"), His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke an Order in Council dated the seventeenth day of November, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four, and published in the Gazette of the twentieth day of that month, appointing a Domain Board to have control of the Spreydon Domain, and doth hereby appoint the
Christchurch City Council
to be the Spreydon Domain Board, having control of the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of and subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act;
and doth hereby appoint Monday, the first day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, at nine o'clock p.m., as the time when, and the Council Chambers, Christchurch, as the place where, the first meeting of the said Board shall be held.

WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the seventeenth day of September, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published at page 2449 of the New Zealand Gazette of the same date, regulations were made and charges fixed under the authority of the Post and Telegraph Act, 1908, and its amendments (hereinafter termed "the said Act") for connections with telephone exchanges:
And whereas it is expedient to amend such regulations in the manner hereinafter set forth:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon him by the said Act, and of all other powers and authorities in that behalf enabling him, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby revoke subsection one of regulation numbered forty-five under the heading "Telephone Connections with Street Stands and Wharves" in the Schedule to the above-recited Order in Council, and in lieu thereof doth hereby make the regulation set forth in the Schedule hereto, and doth declare that the regulation hereby made shall form part of and shall be read together with the regulations first herein mentioned, and shall come into force on and after the date of the publication of this Order in Council in the New Zealand Gazette.
SCHEDULE.
45. (1.) A telephone-exchange connection with a street stand over which a local authority has jurisdiction shall be made only on the application and at the charge of the local authority controlling the street. In such a case the telephone connection shall be entered in the telephone directory by stating the situation of the stand and the class of vehicle, &c., using it. Authority to sublet such telephone connection to the users of the stand shall be vested in the local authority concerned, upon the following terms:--
(a.) The telephone shall be properly housed in a cabinet of a design approved by the Department.
(b.) The door of the cabinet shall be kept locked except when the telephone is in use.
(c.) No person other than a sublessee or an authorized officer of the local authority concerned shall be allowed to use the telephone.
In the event of any of the conditions enumerated in (a), (b), or (c) hereof not being observed, the Minister may, without notice, disconnect the telephone from the exchange, and no person shall have any claim for damages or otherwise whatsoever in consequence of such action being taken by the Minister.
