That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Tauranga Borough Streets Loan of £2,000, 1925, authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming, grading, channelling, metalling, and coating with bitumen, tar, chips, metal, sand, or screenings, the following streets—namely, 11th Avenue from Cameron Road to Dairy Factory, Willow Street from McLean Street to Brown Street, Brown Street from Willow Street to Cliff Road, Cliff Road from Brown Street to Public Works Road leading to the railway-station, the said Council pursuant to section 22 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act of 1913 hereby increases to one-tenth (1/10th) of a penny in the pound sterling the special rate of 1/12th (one-twelfth) of a penny in the pound sterling made and levied by resolution passed by the said Council on the 24th day of November, 1925, on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the whole of the Borough of Tauranga, such rate of one-twelfth (1/12th) of a penny in the pound sterling being insufficient to provide for payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on such loan; and that such special rate as increased shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

WAIKOHU COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION INCREASING SPECIAL RATE.

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Waikohu County Council hereby resolves as follows:

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of sixteen thousand nine hundred pounds (£16,900) authorized to be raised by the Waikohu County Council under the abovementioned Act, for the purpose of re-erecting Mortleman's Bridge and metalling and widening portions of the Motu Valley Road, including the Junction to Koranga and Junction to Moanui branches, the said Council, pursuant to section 22 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, hereby increases to one (1) penny and eleven-twentieths (11/20ths) of a penny in the pound sterling the special rate of one (1) penny and onethird (⅓) of a penny in the pound sterling made and levied by resolution passed by the said Council on the 10th day of February, 1922, and gazetted on page 618 of the New Zealand Gazette, 1922, on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Motu Valley Loan Special-rating Area in the County of Waikohu, such area comprising all the land included within the boundaries set out in the Schedule hereto, such rate of one (1) penny and one-third (⅓) of a penny in the pound sterling being insufficient to provide for payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on such loan; and that such special rate as increased shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty (30) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

SCHEDULE.

Commencing at the southernmost point of Lot 5 of Section 2, Tahora 263, thence bounded on the south-east by the southeastern boundary of the said Section 5 to its intersection with the Koranga Stream; thence following the Koranga Stream to the westernmost point of the Forest Reserve Section 3 of II, Ngatapa Survey District; thence bounded on the southeast, south, and east by the north-western and northern boundary of the said Section 3 and the western boundary of Section 1 of II, Ngatapa, to the south-western boundary of Section 2 of XIV, Motu; thence on the north-east and southease by the south-western and north-western boundary of the said Section 2 of XIV, Motu; thence on the north-east by the northeastern boundary of Section 8, of X, Motu, to a point approximately 130 chains from the most easterly point of the said Section 8 of X, Motu; thence at a right angle by an air-line connecting with a point on the south-western boundary of Lot 4 of Section 1 of X, Motu, situated about 10 chains from the southernmost point of the said Lot 4; thence bounded on the south-west and south-east by the south-western and southeastern boundaries of the said Lot 4 to the southernmost corner of Lot 1 of Section 1 of X, Motu; thence by an air-line to the southernmost corner of Lot 17 of Block V of Matawai Township; thence bounded on the north-east by the northeast boundary of Lot 1 of Section 1 of X, Motu, to the Motu River; thence by the Motu River to the north-eastern end of the northern boundary of Section 2 of X, Motu; thence bounded on the north and east by the southern and western boundaries of Section 5 of VI, Motu; thence on the north by the southern boundary of Section 7 of VI, Motu, to the County boundary; thence on the north-west by the county boundary to the westernmost point of Section 2 of XII, Moanui; thence on the south-west by the south-western boundary of Section 1 of XII, Moanui (forest reserve) to a point approximately halfway along the said south-western boundary of the forest reserve; thence by air-line in a south-westerly direction to a point on the Koranga River situated approximately 100 chains from the most westerly point of the north-western boundary of S.G.R. 89; thence by the Koranga River to the Moanui Road; thence by the Moanui Road for a distance of 40 chains; thence bounded on the south-west by an air-line to a point on the western boundary of S.G.R. 91, situated approximately 60 chains from the most southerly point of the said boundary of S.G.R. 91; thence on the west by the western boundary of S.G.R. 91 to the Koranga River; thence by the Koranga River to the most northernly point of Lot 2 of Section 2, Tahora 2c 3; thence on the north-west by the north-western boundary of the said Lot 2 of Section 2, Tahora 2c 3; thence on the south-west by the south-western boundaries of Lots 2, 3, 4, and 5 of Section 2, Tahora 2c 3 to the point of commencement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by the Government Printer before 3 o'clock of the day preceding publication.
