Appointments in the Public Service.

THE Public Service Commissioner has made the following appointments in the Public Service :-
Norman Edward Bowater, Esq.,
to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Factories Act, 1921-22, an Inspector for the purposes of the Weights and Measures Act, 1908, and an Inspector for the purposes of the Scaffolding and Excavation Act, 1922, as from the 23rd day of November, 1925.
James Alphonsus Redman, Esq.,
to be Receiver of Land Revenue for the Taranaki District, for the purposes of the Land Act, 1924, as from the 25th day of November, 1925.
Louis Wilfred Metcalfe, Esq.,
to be an Inspector for the purposes of the Factories Act, 1921-22, and an Inspector for the purposes of the Weights and Measures Act, 1908, as from the 23rd day of November, 1925.

Lieutenant-Colonel R. W. Anderson, M.R.C.S. Eng., Reserve of Officers, is posted to the Retired List under the provisions of G.O. 184/21, with permission to retain his rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 21st November, 1925.
The undermentioned are posted to the Retired List under the provisions of paragraphs 126 and 127, General Regulations, 1913, with permission to retain their rank and wear the prescribed uniform. Dated 25th November, 1925.
