TE RAPA DRAINAGE BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATES.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it
in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913,
and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the
Te Rapa Drainage Board hereby resolves as follows:-

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Te Rapa
Drainage Board No. 3 Special-rating Area (Whatawhata)
Loan of £500, 1925, authorized to be raised by the Te Rapa
Drainage Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the
purpose of the constructing and improving of water-courses
and drains in, and providing outfalls for water from, the
Number Three Special-rating Area (Whatawhata) of the
Board's district, and to provide for the purchase of any
necessary tools, equipment, machinery, or plant for the
work and engineering or other incidental expenses arising
therefrom, the said Board hereby makes and levies the
special differential rates on the rateable value (on the basis
of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Number
Three Special-rating Area (Whatawhata) of the Board's
district, being all that piece of land situated in the Parish
of Pukete, in the County of Waipa, bounded by a line
commencing at the north-eastern corner of Section 90 and
going south along that boundary to and along the north
boundaries of Sections 91 and 92; thence along the western
and southern boundaries of Section 92 to the northern
boundary of Sections 95 and 94; and along the boundary
of Sections 95 and 94 generally east to and along the road
forming the eastern boundaries of Sections 94, 96, 97, and
156; thence generally west along the southern and western
boundaries of Sections 156, 162, 167, and 169, and from the
western corner of Section 169 in a straight line to the junction
of a road at the south-western corner of Section 170; thence
along that road in a north-eastern and then generally north-
westerly direction to a point in the west part of Section 183,
opposite the south-eastern corner of Section 191; thence
crossing a road along the southern boundaries of Sections 191
and 190 and along the western boundary of Section 190 to
and along a road running generally north along the western
boundaries of Sections 190, 194, 195, 196; and then still
by this road north-east and east along the north-western,
northern, and north-eastern boundaries of Sections 196, 197,
198, 266, 267, 98, 99, 100A, 100B, 101, 102, 87, 88, and 90
to the point of commencement, according to the classification
of the said lands as follows :—

On lands classified “A”': A special rate of five-sixteenths
(5/16ths) of a penny in the pound sterling.

On lands classified “B”: A special rate of five thirty-
seconds (5/32nds) of a penny in the pound sterling.

On lands classified “C”': A special rate of eight forty-
eighths (8/48ths) of a penny in the pound sterling.

and that such special differential rates shall be annually
recurring rates during the currency of such loan, and be
payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty
(20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Supplementary and Extraordinary Gazettes: For the
first 8 pages, 6d. ; over 8 pages and not exceeding
32 pages, 9d. ; increasing by 3d. for every subsequent
16 pages or part thereof ; postage, 1d.

Advertisements are charged at the rate of 6d. per line
for the first insertion, and 3d. per line for the second and
any subsequent insertion.

Statements under the Mining Act are uniformly charged
23s.

All advertisements should be written on one side of the
paper, and signatures, &c., should be written in a legible
hand.

The number of insertions required must be written across
the face of the advertisement.

The New Zealand Gazette is published on Thursday evening
of each week, and notices for insertion must be received by
the Government Printer before 3 o'clock of the day preceding
publication.
