Lands reserved under the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the Scenery Preservation Board, constituted
pursuant to the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908
(hereinafter referred to as “the said Act”), has recommended
that the lands described in the Schedule hereto should be
permanently reserved for scenic purposes, and it is expedient
to give effect to such recommendation:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in
pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the said
Act, do hereby proclaim and declare that the lands described
in the Schedule hereto shall be scenic reserves under the
said Act, and subject to the provisions thereof.
SCHEDULE.
WAIPORI FALLS SCENIC RESERVE.
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, containing by
admeasurement 1,540 acres, more or less, being the bush
land situated in Run No. 51A, Waipori Survey District. As
the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 437,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, and thereon bordered red.
Also all that area in the Otago Land District, containing
by admeasurement 366 acres, more or less, being Section 10,
Block X, Waipori Survey District. Bounded towards the
north by Section 8, 5705·3 links; towards the north-east by
Section 6, 2479 links, Section 7 and river-bank reserve,
5638·4 links; towards the south and south-west generally
by the Waipori River, 14200 links; again towards the south-
west by Section 9 and river-bank reserve, 861·9 links; towards
the west by the Waipori River, 3100 links: be all the afore-
said linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the
plan marked L. and S. 437A, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
bordered red.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of
November, 1925.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by section sixty-three of the Land Laws
Amendment Act, 1913, it is, amongst other things,
enacted that in no case shall any moneys be expended under
the provisions of the said section sixty-three in connection
with any block of land, unless that block is set apart for
selection under that section pursuant to Proclamation in
that behalf:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of every power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and for the pur-
poses of the aforesaid Act, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson,
Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand,
do hereby proclaim the land described in the Schedule hereto
as set apart for selection.
SCHEDULE.
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.- HAYDN EXTENSION
No. I Block.
Education Endowment.
Lots 11 to 17 and 51 to 56 (inclusive) of Allotment 13,
Section 12, Suburbs of Auckland: Area, 3 acres 0 roods
28 perches.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 30th day of
November, 1925.

Land set apart as an Endowment for Primary Education.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924,
I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General
of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim and
declare that from and after the date hereof the land com-
prised in the pieces of closed road described in the First
Schedule hereto, being land that intersects the endowment
for primary education described in the Second Schedule hereto
shall be deemed to be added to the said endowment.
FIRST SCHEDULE.
ALL those areas in the North Auckland Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 2 acres 3 roods 8 perches and
0·26 perches respectively, being Allotments 132 and 133,
Parish of Mangapai (portions of the road closed by Proclama-
tion published in Gazette No. 42, 19th June, 1924), As the same
are delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1201, deposited
in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at
Wellington, and thereon bordered purple.
SECOND SCHEDULE.
ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 171 acres 1 rood 4 perches, more
or less, being Allotment 93, Parish of Mangapai (permanently
set apart as an endowment for primary education by notice
published in the Supplementary Gazette dated 16th December,
1878).
Given under the hand of his Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 25th day of
November, 1925.

particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 16/1268,
deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey,
at Wellington, under No. 2147, and thereon coloured as above
mentioned.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued
under the Seal of that Dominion, this 27th day of
November, 1925.
