FIRST SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 2 roods 28·5 perches, being Allotment 157, Parish of Ararimu (being portion of the road closed by Proclamation published in Gazette No. 162, 5th December, 1918), and being the parcel of land more particularly described as follows : Bounded towards the north by a stream; towards the east by Allotment 92, primary-education reserve, 707·6 links, 359 8 links, 553·3 links; towards the south by a road, 133·2 links; and towards the west by Allotment 86, 647·5 links, 380·7 links, and 707·5 links: be all the aforesaid linkages a little more or less. As the same is delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 20/238, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon bordered red. (North Auckland, plan No. 20020.)

SECOND SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, containing by admeasurement 149 acres, more or less, being Allotment 92, Parish of Ararimu (permanently set aside as an endowment for primary education by notice published in the supplementary Gazette dated 16th December, 1878).

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 6th day of November, 1925.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as closed the road in the Drury Survey District described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road closed : 13 acres 0 roods 3 perches.

Adjoining Allotment E.R. 17, Puni Parish, Block XIII, Drury Survey District.

In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked L. and S. 20/105, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, under No. 2146, and thereon coloured green.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of November, 1925.

Closed Roads proclaimed as an Addition to a Primary-education Endowment in Block XVI, Upper Waitara Survey District, Taranaki Land District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by a Proclamation dated the thirty-first day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and gazetted on the second day of August following, the pieces of road described in the Schedule hereto, adjoining Section 6, Block XVI, Upper Waitara Survey District, an endowment for primary education, were declared to be closed:

And whereas it is desirable that the said pieces of closed road should be added to the aforesaid primary-education endowment:

Now, therefore, I, General Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by subsection nine of section twelve of the Land Act, 1924, do hereby declare the areas of closed road described in the Schedule hereto to be added to Section 6, Block XVI, Upper Waitara Survey District, an endowment for primary education as aforesaid.

SCHEDULE

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT.

ALL those areas in Block XVI, Upper Waitara Survey District, containing by admeasurement 1 acre 1 rood 2 perches, 2 roods 23 perches, and 33 perches respectively, and being pieces of a road as closed by Proclamation dated the 31st July, 1923, and gazetted on the 2nd August, 1923. As the same are delineated on plan marked L. and S. 16/1035, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon coloured red.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of November, 1925.

Revoking Proclamation declaring a Reformatory Home.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS in pursuance of the powers vested in him by section two of the Reformatory Institutions Amendment Act, 1918, the Governor-General did by Proclamation dated the twenty-seventh day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, and published in the New Zealand Gazette of the fifth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three, declare a certain building and land as described in the Schedule thereto to be a State reformatory institution known as the Point Halswell Reformatory Home within the meaning and for the purposes of the Reformatory Institutions Act, 1909:

And whereas it is expedient that such Proclamation should be revoked:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance of the powers and authorities vested in me, do hereby revoke the said Proclamation as from the date hereof.

Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 7th day of November, 1925.

Additional Regulations under Section 16 of the Engineers Registration Act, 1924.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day of November, 1925.

THE HONOURABLE J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon him by the Engineers Registration Act, 1924, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following additional regulations for the purposes of section sixteen of the said Act.

REGULATIONS.

  1. PRELIMINARY.

(1.) THESE regulations may be cited as "The Engineers Registration (Appeal) Regulations, 1925."

(2.) When the notice of refusal or removal referred to in subsection (1) of section 12 of the said Act is communicated to any person the Registrar shall therewith inform such person of the reason for such refusal or removal.

  1. BOARD OF APPEAL.

(1.) Of the assessors to be appointed under section 12 of the said Act one shall be appointed by the Board by resolution
