mouth of the Mataikona River; thence towards the south-
west by the Mataikona River to the Makatote Stream; thence
towards the west generally by the Makatote Stream to
Section 5, Block XI, Aohanga Survey District; thence by
that section to the Waingongoro Stream; and thence by the
Waingongoro Stream to the Aohanga River, the place of
commencement: excluding Section 145 in Block III, Castle-
point Survey District.
All that area in the Wellington Land District contained in
the Survey District of Mangaone.
All that area in the Nelson Land District contained in
the Survey Districts of Matakfaki, Burnett, and Rahu.
All that area in the Nelson Land District contained in the
Survey Districts of Tutaki and Matiri.
All that area in the Westland Land District contained in
the Survey Districts of Brunner, Waimea, Hohonu, and
Arnold.
All that area in the Westland Land District contained in
the Survey District of Waiwhero.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District being the
whole of Blocks X and XI, Grassmere Survey District, and
those portions of Blocks XIV and XV of the aforesaid survey
district to the northward of the Broken River; saving and
excepting thereout coal lease No. 28, containing 1,000 acres.
All that area in the Canterbury Land District, and Ash-
burton Survey District, containing by admeasurement 439
acres, more or less, being Rural Section 15838 and part of
Rural Section 16213 on the map of the said survey district.
Bounded towards the north-east by Rural Sections 16124
and 15839; towards the south-east by Rural Sections 24788
and 24789; towards the south-west by Rural Section 24981;
and towards the north-west and south-west by other parts
of Rural Section 16213; and again towards the north-west
by a railway and road-line; all as shown coloured red on
map marked Mines 18/1181, deposited in the office of the
Minister of Mines at Wellington.

Declaring that the Opotiki County Council shall exercise the
Powers of a Harbour Board, and defining the Limits of the
Port or Harbour of Ohiwa.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 10th day of
October, 1925.

THE HONOURABLE J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS it is among other things provided by section
eleven of the Harbours Act, 1923, that, on the request
of the Council of a county bordering on any navigable river,
estuary, or arm of the sea not under the control or manage-
ment of any Harbour Board, or on the joint request of any
two or more of such Councils, the Governor-General may, by
Order in Council gazetted, declare that such Council or joint
Councils shall, from a date to be fixed in such order, exercise
all the powers of a Harbour Board within such limits of the
navigable river, estuary, or arm aforesaid as the Governor-
General defines for that purpose:
And whereas the Council of the County of Opotiki, which
borders on the port or harbour of Ohiwa, has requested that
it may be declared that it shall exercise all the powers of a
Harbour Board within such port or harbour:
And whereas it is desirable that such request should be
acceded to, and that the limits of such port or harbour should
be defined as hereinafter appears:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the hereinbefore-recited power and authority, and acting by
and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that, from and
after the first day of October, one thousand nine hundred
and twenty-five, the Opotiki County Council shall exercise
the powers of a Harbour Board within the limits of the port
or harbour hereinafter set forth, and which said port or
harbour is called Ohiwa Harbour:
And in further pursuance and exercise of the hereinbefore-
recited power and authority, His Excellency, with the advice
and consent aforesaid, doth hereby define the limits of the
said port or harbour within which the Council of the County
of Opotiki is to exercise the powers aforesaid as follows, that
is to say:
All that area of tidal land and tidal water of Ohiwa Har-
bour, and inside the seaward arc of a circle having a
radius of two and a half nautical miles from the eastern
extreme of the western head at the entrance to the said
harbour. As the same is more particularly shown and
delineated on plan marked M.D. 6083, deposited in the
office of the Marine Department at Wellington, and
thereon coloured blue.

Declaring a Portion of Main Highway in Highway District
No. 1, Whangarei County, to be a Government Road.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 6th day
of October, 1925.

THE HONOURABLE J. G. COATES PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the
portion of main highway described in the Schedule hereto
shall, on and after the date of gazetting of this Order in
Council, become a Government road.
SCHEDULE.
WHANGAREI-DARGAVILLE: All that portion of the main high-
way, known as the Whangarei-Dargaville Main Highway,
commencing at its junction with the Kerehunga-Waiotama
Road, in Block XIV, Purua Survey District, and proceeding
thence generally in a south-westerly direction, and terminating
at Section 43, Block II, Tangiahua Survey District, within
20 chains of the junction of the main highway with Tangiahua
Road, passing through the County of Whangarei; being a
distance of 3Β½ miles, more or less; marked V-W on plan.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked M.H. 45, deposited in the office of the Minister of
Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District
and thereon coloured blue and marked as above mentioned

Domain Board appointed to have Control of the Mount Somers
Domain.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by
section forty of the Public Reserves and Domains Act,
1908, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion
of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent
of.the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby
appoint
Jasper West Comyns,
Harold Horace Hood,
George Leslie Nell,
John McClimont, and
Edmond Charles Wood
to be the Mount Somers Domain Board, having control of
the land described in the Schedule hereto; and doth hereby
appoint Saturday, the fifth day of December, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-five, at three o'clock p.m., as the
time when, and the Mount Somers Library, as the place where,
the first meeting of the Board shall be held.
SCHEDULE.
MOUNT SOMERS DOMAIN.βCANTERBURY LAND DISTRICT.
RESERVE 1633, Block XV, Alford Survey District: Area,
30 acres 1 rood, more or less.
Also Reserve 2639, Block XV, Alford Survey District:
