And whereas it is desirable to alter the boundaries of the
districts hereinafter referred to and to alter the name of the
Poverty Bay District to the Gisborne District:
Now, therefore, I, Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and
exercise of the powers and authorities conferred upon me by
the hereinbefore-in-part-recited Act and every other power
and authority enabling me in this behalf, and acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the
said Dominion, do hereby alter the name of the Poverty Bay
Deeds Registration District to the Gisborne Deeds Registration
District, and do order that on and from the first day of
January, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, the
boundaries of the Auckland, Gisborne, and Hawke’s Bay Deeds
Registration Districts shall be as described in the Schedule
hereto.

SCHEDULE.
AUCKLAND DEEDS REGISTRATION DISTRICT.
ALL that area bounded towards the north and north-east
generally by the ocean from Cape Maria Van Diemen to the
middle of the entrance to Ohiwa Harbour; thence by a right
line to the middle of the Nukuhou River; thence up the
middle of the said river to its intersection with the western
side of the Nukuhou Road at the north-east corner of Allot-
ment 183; thence along the eastern boundary of said Allot-
ment 183, across a road, and again by the east boundary of
said Allotment 183 and the eastern boundaries of Allotments
184, 185, 186, 187, 188, 189, 190, 191, and 192, across a road,
and along the eastern boundaries generally of Allotments 194
and 195, across a road, and again along the eastern boundary
of Allotment 195, and along the eastern boundaries of
Allotments 196 and 197, across a road, again along eastern
boundary of said Allotment 197, and along the eastern
boundaries of Allotments 198, 199, 200, 203, and 204, across
a road, along the eastern boundaries of Allotments 207, 208,
211, and 212, across a road, again along the eastern boundary
of Allotment 212, and along the eastern boundaries of Allot-
ments 216, 215, 214, and 217, across a road, by the eastern
boundaries of Allotments 222 and 223, all of Waimana Parish;
thence easterly along the northern boundary of Waimana
No. 1E Block, along the north-eastern and south-eastern
boundaries of Section 21, Block IV, Waimana Survey District,
the south-eastern boundaries of Waimana 1c and 1D Block to
Paitana; thence by the south-west boundary of Waimana
1D Block to the north-western corner of Tahora 2A D 2 Block;
thence by the south-western boundary of the last-mentioned
block to the Waimana River; thence up the middle of that
river to its source and along the summit of the range through
Maungapohatu Trig. Station to the northernmost point of
Waikaremoana Block; thence along the northern and
western boundaries of that block to the northern boundary
of Maungataniwha Block, along the northern and western
boundaries of that block to Te Hoe River, and down the
middle of that river to the northern boundary of Tatara-o-
Kina Block; thence towards the south generally by Tatara-o-
Kina, Tarawera, Te Matai, and Te Matai No. 1 Blocks. to the
Mohaka River; thence by the middle of that river to its
confluence with the Oamaru Stream; thence by the middle
of that stream and by the north-west boundary of the Tapapa
No. 2 Block to the Ngarururo River; thence by the middle
of that river to the southern corner of Kaimanawa No. 1A
Block; thence generally in a north-westerly direction by
Kaimanawa No. 1F, Kaimanawa No. 2B, and Te Hautu Blocks
to Lake Taupo; thence across the lake by a right line to
the mouth of the Kuratau Stream; thence up the middle of
that stream, by the north-western boundary of the Oraukura
Block, and the south-eastern boundaries of the Raumata,
Pukepoto, and Waione Blocks, to the Wanganui River; by
a line along the middle of that river to its confluence with the
Ongaruhe River; thence by a line along the middle of the
Ongaruhe River to its confluence with the Waimeha Stream;
thence by a line along the middle of the Waimeha Stream to
the western boundary of the Rangitoto-Tuhua No. 36 Block;
thence by the western boundary of that block to the middle
of the Mokau River, and along the middle of that river to
the ocean; and thence toward the west and south-west
generally by the ocean to the place of commencement; and
including the adjacent islands and the Kermadec Islands.
GISBORNE DEEDS REGISTRATION DISTRICT.
Commencing in the middle of the entrance to the Ohiwa
Harbour, bounded thence generally to the westward by the
Auckland Deeds Registration District hereinbefore described
to the northern boundary of the Tatara-o-Kina Block; thence
down the middle of the Te Hoe River to the Mohaka River,
and down the middle of that river to the Mohaka No. 1 Block;
thence along the northern boundaries generally of Mohaka
No. 1 and Mohaka No. 2 Blocks, Section 1 of Block II, Section 1
of Block III, both of Waihua Survey District, Section 1 of
Block XVIII, Sections 1 and 2 of Block XIX, both of Tara-
marama Survey District, to the Tutaekuri River; thence
down the middle of that river to the Waiau River; thence
down the middle of the said Waiau River to the Wairoa
River; thence down the middle of that river to the Kau-
hauroa Stream; thence up the middle of the said Kauhauroa
Stream to the Maromauku Stream; thence up the middle of
the said Maromauku Stream, and along the eastern boundary
of Kahuitara No. 1A Block; thence along the northern
boundaries of Tukemokihī No. 1 Block and Hereheretau No. 2
Block to the Makaretu River; thence up the middle of that
river to the north-western boundary of Section 1 of Block
XVI, of Opoiti Survey District; thence along the south-
eastern boundaries of Mangapoike and Haerengarenga Blocks
to Pukehou Trig. Station; thence along the south-western
boundaries of Maraetaha No. 2 and Maraetaha No. 2C Blocks
and of Okahu Block to the western boundary of Paritu Block;
thence along that boundary and the northern boundaries of
Paritu No. 2 and Takararoa Blocks to the sea at Ngakau-o-te-
Paritu; thence generally northerly and westerly along the sea-
coast to the middle of the entrance to the Ohiwa Harbour, the
point of commencement; and including all adjacent islands.
HAWKE’S BAY DEEDS REGISTRATION DISTRICT.
Bounded towards the east generally by the sea; towards
the south generally by a line along the middle of the Waimata
Stream and the south-western boundary-line of Section 1,
Block XIII, Tautane Survey District, to Trig. Station 39A;
thence by the southern boundaries of Weber, Tahoraite, and
Woodville Survey Districts to the Manawatu River, and by
a line along the middle of that river to the Manawatu Gorge;
thence towards the west generally by the summit of the
Ruahine Range to the northern boundary of the Awarua
Block; thence by that boundary to the middle of the Makiri-
kiri Stream; thence by the middle of that stream, the middle
of the Ikaawetea Stream, and the middle of the Taruarau
River to the northern boundary of the Timahanga Block;
thence by that block and the Ngaruroro River to the Auck-
land Deeds Registration District hereinbefore described, and
by that district and the Gisborne Deeds Registration District
hereinbefore described, to the sea; and including the adjacent
islands.

to use and occupy a Part of the Foreshore and Land below

for a Wharf.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 26th day of
January, 1925.
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by Order in Council dated the twenty-sixth
day of September, one thousand nine hundred and
thirteen, and published in the New Zealand Gazette No. 75,
of the ninth day of the following month, Messrs. Alexander
George Jarrett, Richard Tout, and Frank Woodhouse, as
trustees for the inhabitants of the district (hereinafter called
“the licensees”), were licensed to use and occupy a part of
the foreshore and land below low-water mark at Birkdale,
Auckland Harbour, as a site for a wharf:
And whereas the said licensees have applied to have the
hereinbefore-recited license revoked, and it is desirable to
revoke the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of
the powers and authority vested in him by the Harbours
Act, 1923, and of all other powers and authorities enabling
him in that behalf, and acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby revoke the hereinbefore-recited Order in Council of
the twenty-sixth day of September, one thousand nine hundred
and thirteen, as from the seventh day of January, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-five.
