Allocating Land reserved and taken for a Railway to the Purposes of a Street in the Town District of Kaikohe, at Kaikohe.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS the land described in the Schedule hereto forms part of land taken for the purposes of the Kawakawa-Hokianga Railway, and it is considered desirable to allocate such land to the purposes of a street:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by section one hundred and ninety-seven of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, upon the publication hereof in the New Zealand Gazette, become a street, and that the said street shall be under the control of the Kaikohe Town Board, and shall be maintained by the said Board in like manner as other public highways are controlled and maintained by the said Board.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 1 acre 3 roods 48 perches.
Portion of railway reserve and railway approach road, Block XV, Omapere Survey District Kaikohe. Town District. (S.O. 23365, blue.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 36240, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured neutral tint.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 2nd day of October, 1925.

Additional Land at Westerfield taken for the Purposes of the Hurunui-Waikati Railway, Upper Ashburton Branch.

A PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS it has been found desirable for the use, convenience, and enjoyment of the Upper Ashburton Branch of the Hurunui-Waikati Railway to take further land at Westerfield, in addition to land previously acquired for the purposes of the said railway:
Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on me by sections twenty-nine and one hundred and eighty-eight of the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, do hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the purposes above mentioned.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land: 8 acres 2 roods 32 perches.
Part of R.S. 20338, Block XI, Westerfield Survey District. (S.O. 1924, red.)
In the Canterbury Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked W.R. 36516, deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon coloured green.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 3rd day of October, 1925.
