RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.
In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and amendments thereto, the Raglan County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of £550 (being 10 per cent on the original loan of £5,500), authorized to be raised by the Raglan County Council under the provisions of the Counties Act, 1920, the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and amendments thereto, and all other Acts (if any) it in that behalf enabling, and with the consent of the Governor-General in Council under the provisions of the Finance Act, 1919, as gazetted in Gazette No. 51, of the 9th July, 1925, for the purpose of completing the formation and metalling of various roads in the Karioi Riding of the County of Raglan, which the original loan of £5,500 has not been sufficient to complete, the Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-eighth (¼d.) of a penny in the pound sterling upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the Karioi Riding of the County of Raglan. (The boundaries of the said Karioi Riding being as defined in Gazette No. 61 of the 31st July, 1902, at page 1613.) And that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, and be payable on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan; and the rate of interest to be paid to be five pounds five shillings per centum per annum, together with an additional charge to provide the necessary sinking fund, or until the loan is fully paid off.

THE McKAY ARTIFICIAL LIMB COMPANY (LIMITED), a company incorporated under the English Companies Acts, whose registered office is at 218 Blackfriars Road, County of London, England, and carrying on business as Manufacturers of Artificial Limbs and Appliances, proposes to commence or carry on business at 19 Edward Street, City of Wellington, in New Zealand.
Legal process of any kind served upon the company, and notices of any kind may be addressed or delivered to it, at its registered office at 19 Edward Street, Wellington aforesaid.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
In the matter of the Road Boards Act, 1908, and the Public Works Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Tamaki Road Board proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work—namely, the formation of a road ; and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Board situate at Wharf Road, St. Helier’s Bay, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Clerk of the said Board at the said office.

RODNEY COUNTY COUNCIL.
AMENDING RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
WHEREAS in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Council of the County of Rodney made and levied a special rate of one half-penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Kaipara Hills Special-rating District in the County of Rodney, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorized to be raised by the Council for metalling portion of the Kaipara Hills Road:
And whereas the said rate of one halfpenny is insufficient to provide for payment of interest and sinking fund in respect of said loan, the Council of the County of Rodney, by way of amendment and in pursuance of section 22 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, hereby resolves as follows :
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorized to be raised by the Council of the County of Rodney under the above-mentioned Act, for metalling portion of the Kaipara Hills Road, the said Council of the County of Rodney hereby makes and levies a special rate of 11/16ths of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Kaipara Hills Special-rating District ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
