BLENHEIM BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—£10,000 ROADS LOAN.

RESOLVED, That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Blenheim Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £10,000, authorized to be raised by the Blenheim Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of purchasing road machinery and constructing footpaths and curbing and reforming roads, the said Blenheim Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two-fifths of one penny in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property in the Borough of Blenheim; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring special rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

And further, that the Public Trustee be and is hereby appointed Commissioner of Sinking Fund in respect of the said £10,000 loan.

THE HYGRADE CLOTHING COMPANY (LIMITED).

IN LIQUIDATION.

NOTICE is hereby given that the final meeting of the shareholders and creditors of the above company will be held on the 17th September, 1925, at 2.15 p.m., at the Accountants Chambers, 29 Johnston Street, Wellington.

Business: To submit the Liquidator’s final report as to the manner in which the winding-up of the company has been conducted, and the assets disposed of, and generally to offer any explanation that may be required from me.

DANNEVIRKE BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Dannevirke Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:—

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on a loan of fifteen thousand pounds (£15,000), authorized to be raised by the Dannevirke Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of enabling the said Council to construct and finish with a bituminous sealing Stanley Street, High Street (from the Mangapurupuru Drain to Alexandra Street full width, and the remainder of the street to Mangatera not less than twenty-one feet in width), Queen Street (from Stairs Street Railway-crossing to Victoria Avenue Railway-crossing inclusive), Gordon Street and Allardice Street (from railway boundary to Denmark Street), Grey Street, Miller’s Road (from High Street to Denmark Street), Denmark Street (from Miller’s Road to Allardice Street, not less than 21 ft. in width) the said Council, pursuant to section 22 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, hereby increases to thirteen-twentieths (13/20ths) of a penny in the pound sterling the special rate of three-fifths (3/5ths) of a penny in the pound sterling made and levied by resolution passed by the said Council on the 14th day of December, 1923, and gazetted on page 231 of the New Zealand Gazette, 1925, on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Borough of Dannevirke, such rate of three-fifths (3/5thd) of a penny in the pound sterling being insufficient to provide for payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on such loan; and that such special rate as increased shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

PATEA COUNTY COUNCIL.

PIRAUNUI BRIDGE LOAN, £200.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Patea County Council hereby resolves:—

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £200 authorized to be raised by the Patea County Council under the above-mentioned Act for the purpose of building the Piraunui Bridge over the Waitotara River, the said Patea County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of three two-hundredths of one penny in the pound on the rateable value of all the rateable property within the Piraunui Special-rating Area within the following boundaries: Commencing at a point where the Confiscation-line intersects the Waitotara River on the southern boundary of Piraunui No. 1 (303 acres), thence proceeding in a north-westerly direction along the Confiscation-line and Ridge Road to where the latter strikes the Provincial Boundary-line; thence north-west along the Provincial Boundary-line to where it strikes the eastern boundary of Section 1, Block VI; thence along the north-east and north and west boundaries of Section 1, Block VI, to the Ridge Road; thence
