Boundaries of Borough of Gisborne altered.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of September, 1925.
Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS, in pursuance of section one hundred and thirty-two of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, a petition was presented to the Governor-General praying that a certain area should be excluded from the County of Cook and included in the Borough of Gisborne.
And whereas an objection in writing has been lodged against the proposed alteration of boundaries:
And whereas, after considering the original petition and the objection so lodged, it is deemed expedient to exclude from the County of Cook and include in the Borough of Gisborne the area described in the Schedule hereto:
Now, therefore, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in him by the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby declare that as on and from the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-six, the area described in the Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the County of Cook and included in the Borough of Gisborne.

SCHEDULE.

AREA INCLUDED IN THE BOROUGH OF GISBORNE.
ALL that area in the Gisborne Land District bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of Valley Lane at the junction with the Gisborne Borough boundary; thence by a line along the middle of Valley Lane to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Lot 11, Section 51, Block D, Whataupoko No. 6; thence to and along that boundary to the south-western corner of the said lot; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern boundaries of Lots 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19, Sections 51 and 56 of the said Block D to the south-eastern corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern boundary of Lot 10, Section 56 aforesaid, and its production to the middle of Fox Street; thence south-westerly along the middle of Fox Street to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 17, Section 34, Block D, Whataupoko No. 6 Block aforesaid; thence to and along that boundary and the north-eastern boundary of Lot 18, Section 34 aforesaid, to Kingsley Street, across Kingsley Street, and thence south-westerly along the south-eastern side of Kingsley Street and the south-eastern boundary of Lot 6, Sections 30 and 31, to the boundary of the Borough of Gisborne; thence northerly along that boundary to the middle of Valley Lane, the point of commencement.

Consenting to stopping Portion of Road in Block XV, Rangiriri Survey District, Waikato County.

At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of September, 1925.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the Waikato County Council stopping the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of land permitted to be stopped: 3 roods 3Β·4 perches.
Adjoining or passing through Lots 1a and 6 of Allotment 53 and Lot 18A of Allotment 463, Parish of Taupiri, situated in Block XV, Rangiriri Survey District. (S.O. 23084.)
In the Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 59213,

deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured green.

Consenting to the raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 7th day of September, 1925.
Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the said loans.

Hauraki Plains County Council (for providing the proportion of the cost of the construction of a bridge over the Waihou River) 12,000

Ohura County Council (for widening, culverting, and metalling the Ohura Road at Matiere) 900
Ohura County Council (for widening, culverting, and metalling portions of the Upper Ohura and Tapuwahine Roads) 1,000
Ohura County Council (for widening, culverting, and metalling portions of the Harvey, Tokirima, Kokopuiti, Turoto, and Aorangi Roads) 800
Ohura County Council (for widening, culverting, and metalling Waitewhena and Haparua Roads) 1,000
Ohura County Council (for widening, culverting, and metalling the Ohura-Tatu Main Road) 1,300
Ngaruawahia Borough Council (for the purchase of the improvements on the library endowment) 2,000
Thames County Council (for the purpose of providing the Council's contribution to the cost of constructing a bridge over the Waihou River at Kopu) 6,000

Warkworth Town Board (for forming, concreting, and kerbing footpaths) 700
