Portion of Valentine Street, in the Borough of Lower Hutt,
exempted from the Provisions of Section 117 of the Public Works Act, 1908, subject to a Condition as to the Building-line.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of August, 1925.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby approve of the following resolution passed by the Lower Hutt Borough Council on the twenty-seventh day of July, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, in so far as it affects the portion of Valentine Street described in the Schedule hereto, viz:—
“That the Lower Hutt Borough Council, having control of the following streets, being streets in the Borough of Lower Hutt,—viz., Montague, Valentine, Buckley, Titoki, Henry, Clifford, and Donald Streets,—by resolution declares that the provisions of section one hundred and seventeen of the Public Works Act, 1908, shall not apply to these streets”; subject to the condition that no building or part of a building shall at any time be erected on the land fronting the portion of Valentine Street (described in the Schedule hereto), within a distance of thirty-three feet from the centre-line of the said portion of street, such condition being of the same effect as clause one hundred and two of the Lower Hutt Borough Council’s Consolidated Building By-law, 1914.
SCHEDULE.
All that portion of street situated in the Wellington Land District, Borough of Lower Hutt, known as Valentine Street, between Victoria Street and Fitzherbert Street. As the said portion of street is more particularly delineated in the plan marked P.W.D. 63579, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured red.

Prohibiting all Alienation of certain Native Land other than Alienation in favour of the Crown.

On the recommendation of the Native Land Purchase Board, referred to in section three hundred and sixty-three of the Native Land Act, 1909, and in exercise of the power in this behalf conferred upon him by that section, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prohibit, for the period of one year from the date of this Order in Council, all alienation of the Native land specified in the Schedule hereto other than alienation in favour of the Crown.

Validating the Proceedings in connection with a Loan of £1,500 proposed to be raised by the Council of the Borough of Green Island.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House at Wellington, this 6th day of August, 1925.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS the Green Island Borough Council, acting under and in pursuance of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, proposes to raise a loan of one thousand five hundred pounds for the purpose of constructing sanitary works :
And whereas the special order authorizing the raising of the loan is irregular in that the public notification of the time and place fixed for the confirmation of the said special order, although given four times, did not comply with the provisions of section sixty-three of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920 :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and seven of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the proceedings taken to raise the said loan shall be valid to all intents and purposes as though public notification of the special order had been correctly given, and that the validity of the proceedings in connection with the said loan shall not be called into question by reason only of the irregularity or defect aforesaid.

His Excellency the Governor-General in Council.
WHEREAS the Kaitieke County Council, acting under and in pursuance of paragraph (d) of section sixteen of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, proposes to raise a loan of six hundred and forty-five pounds for the purpose of providing the balance of the Council's proportion of the cost of constructing a bridge over the Wanganui River at Taumarunui:
And whereas section seventeen of the said Act requires the special roll to be deposited not less than seven days before any steps are taken under the aforesaid section sixteen (d):
And whereas the special roll of the ratepayers was not deposited not less than seven days before the special order was made:
And whereas it appears that the ratepayers have not been misled by the said irregularity or defect, and it is expedient to validate the same:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him by section one hundred and eleven of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive
