RAGLAN COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTIONS STRIKING SPECIAL RATES.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all
other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Raglan County
Council hereby resolves as follows:-

Loan of £2,000, for forming and metalling the Waitetuna
Valley Road.

That for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Raglan County
Waitetuna Valley Special-rating District Road Loan of £2,000,
1925, authorized to be raised by the Raglan County Council
under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming
and metalling the Waitetuna Valley Road in the Waitetuna
Valley Special-rating District of the County of Raglan, the
said Raglan County Council hereby makes and levies a special
rate of one penny halfpenny (1½d.) in the pound sterling on
the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of
all rateable property in the Waitetuna Valley Special-rating
District of the County of Raglan, being described as follows :-
Commencing at the north-east corner of Section 3D 135A of
Block V, Alexandra Survey District, and thence running
west and south-west along the northern boundaries of Sections
3D 135A, 2, 5, 4, and 6 to the north-west corner of Section 6 ;
thence south along the western boundaries of Section 6 and
the western and southern boundaries of Section CL to the
north-west corner of Section 3; thence south along the
western boundaries of Section 3 to the north-east boundary
of Section 8; thence west along the northern boundaries of
Sections 8, 7, 2, and 1 to the north-west corner of Section 1 ;
thence south along the western boundaries of 1, 6, 7, and 18
to the south-east corner of Section 18; thence east and north
along the southern boundaries of Sections 7 and 8 to the
south-east corner of Section 8; thence north along the eastern
boundary of Section 8 to the north-east corner of Section 8;
and thence east along the southern boundaries of Sections 4
and 2 to the south-east corner of Section 2; thence north
along the eastern boundary of Section 2 to the north-east
corner of the same section ; thence east and north along the
southern and eastern boundaries of Section No. 1E 4 to the
north-east corner of Section No. 1E 4; thence along
the southern and eastern boundaries of Section 370A to the
south-eastern boundary of Section 215; thence north along
the eastern boundaries of Sections 215 and 218 to the north-
east corner of Section 218; thence following the northern and
western boundaries of Section 218 to the south-west corner of
Section 218 ; and thence along the northern boundary of
Section 210 to the western corner of the same section; thence
north and west, taking in 500 acres of Section 7 to a point on
the eastern boundary of Section 1 ; and thence north along the
eastern boundaries of Sections 1, 11, 10, Te Rapa, 9542, 12,
and 3D 135A, to the point of commencement;
And that such special rate shall be annually recurring rate
during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on
the 1st day of January in each and every year during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half
(36½) years or until the loan is fully paid off.

Loan of £14,000, for forming and metalling various Roads in
the Onewhero Riding.

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Raglan County
Onewhero Riding Roads Loan of £14,000, 1925, authorized
to be raised by the Raglan County Council under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and metalling
various roads in the Onewhero Riding of the County of Raglan,
the said Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one
penny (1d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on
the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property
in the Onewhero Riding of the County of Raglan; and that
such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
lst day of January in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half (36½)
years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Loan of £5,000 for forming and metalling various Roads in the
Pukekawa Riding.

That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the Raglan County
Pukekawa Riding Roads Loan of £5,000, 1925, authorized
to be raised by the Raglan County Council, under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming and metalling
various roads in the Pukekawa Riding of the County of
Raglan, the said Raglan County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of one halfpenny (½d.) in the pound sterling
on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value)
of all rateable property in the Pukekawa Riding of the County
of Raglan ; and that such special rate shall be an annually
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payabe
yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year
during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six
and a half (36½) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

The above resolutions were duly passed at a meeting of the
Raglan County Council held on the 8th day of July, 1925.

MOUNT ALBERT BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTIONS STRIKING SPECIAL RATES.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Mount
Albert Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :-

1925 Fire Brigade Station and Fire-fighting Plant Loan of
£7,000.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £7,000, authorized to be raised by the
Mount Albert Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act, for the erection and furnishing of a fire brigade station
and the purchase of fire-fighting equipment, including a
motor fire-engine, the said Mount Albert Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of one twenty-fifth
of a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
property of the Borough of Mount Albert, comprising the whole
of the said borough ; and that such special rate shall be an
annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and
be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every
year during the currency of such loan, being a period of
36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

1925 Water-supply Extension Loan of £22,000.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £22,000, authorized to be raised by the
Mount Albert Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act, for the extension of the water-supply within the Borough
of Mount Albert, the said Mount Albert Borough Council
hereby makes and levies a special rate of three twenty-fifths
or a penny in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable
property of the Borough of Mount Albert, comprising the
whole of the said borough ; and that such special eate shall
be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan,
and be payable yearly on the 1st day of July in each and
every year during the currency of such loan, being a period
of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

1925 Storm-water Drainage Loan of £8,000.

That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £8,000, authorized to be raised by the
Mount Albert Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act, for storm-water drainage in the Borough of Mount
Albert including portions of Wards " A" " B," " C," and
" D," the said Mount Albert Borough Council hereby makes
and levies a special rate of one-twentieth of a penny in the
pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the
Borough of Mount Albert, comprising the whole of the said
borough ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of July in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

I, Harry Utting, Town Clerk and Treasurer of the Mount
Albert Borough Council, do hereby certify that the above
are true copies of resolutions passed by the Mount Albert
Borough Council at a meeting held 30th June, 1925.
