Notice to Mariners No. 54 of 1925.
NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—AUCKLAND HARBOUR APPROACH.

Changes in Colour of Lighted "Aids" to Navigation.
REFERRING to Notice to Mariners No. 34 of 1925, published in New Zealand Gazette of 23rd April, 1925, in which notice was given of intended change in colour of the light exhibited from Rangitoto Lighted Beacon, the Auckland Harbour Board now notify that on and after the night of Wednesday, 15th July, 1925, the undermentioned lighted "aids" will be changed in colour only, but in each case the characteristic phases will continue unaltered.
Rangitoto Lighted Beacon.—The existing white light will be changed to red.
Rangitoto Channel, Eastern Lighted Buoy.—The existing green light will be changed to red.
Devonport Sandspit Lighted Beacon.—The existing red light will be changed to green.

Notice to Mariners No. 55 of 1925.
NEW ZEALAND.—NORTH ISLAND.—EAST COAST.—WHANGAREI HARBOUR.

Installation of "Aids" to Navigation.
THE Whangarei Harbour Board notify the installation of the undermentioned "aids" to navigation in Whangarei Harbour, all of which will be completed and in use on and after Monday, 20th day of July, 1925:—
KAIWAKA POINT.—LIGHTED BEACON INSTALLED.
An automatic unwatched flashing white light, 5 seconds, flash 1/2 second, height 9 ft. visible 4 M will be exhibited from a lantern on a pyramidal concrete tower 6 ft. high on a concrete base situated at Kaiwaka Point north-westward of Onerahi Wharf.
The light will be visible from 005° through east to 170°, that is, from the western extreme of Limestone Island through east to the lifting span of the railway bridge over Whangarei River.
TAURIKURA.—BEACON INSTALLED.
A concrete beacon, locally called Taurikura, height 2 1/2 ft., having a small flag-pole as a surmount, has been erected at a position about 187 yards 088° from the eastern extreme of High Island northward of Calliope Bank inside of Whangarei Heads.
