Alteration to the Scale of Fares, Rates, and Charges in Force upon the New Zealand Government Railways.
IN pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling me under the Government Railways Act, 1908, and its amendments, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Railways, do hereby make the following alterations in the scale of fares, rates, and charges in force on the New Zealand Government railways open for traffic, as published in the Gazette of 12th December, 1912 (and amended from time to time), and I do hereby declare that such alterations shall come into force on the 6th July, 1925.
PART II.—LUGGAGE, PARCELS, HORSES, ETC.
PARCEL RATES.
By omitting the following:
In addition to the above rates a charge of 6d. for each cwt. or part of a cwt. will be made upon all parcels consigned to Auckland, Wanganui, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.
And substituting the following:
In addition to the above rates a charge of 6d. for each cwt. or part of a cwt. will be made upon all parcels consigned to Auckland, Frankton Junction, Hamilton, Wanganui, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.
FRUIT, VEGETABLES, MUSHROOMS, AND NUTS.
By omitting the following:
In addition, a charge of 6d. for each cwt. or part of a cwt. will be made for fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, and nuts charged at these maximum rates, consigned as parcels to Auckland, Wanganui, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.
And substituting the following:
In addition, a charge of 6d. for each cwt. or part of a cwt. will be made for fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, and nuts charged at these maximum rates, consigned as parcels to Auckland, Frankton Junction, Hamilton, Wanganui, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.
GAME, DEAD HARES, DEAD RABBITS, and FRESH FISH.
By omitting the following:
In addition, a charge of 6d. for each 28 lb. or part of 28 lb. will be made for game, dead hares, dead rabbits, and fresh fish charged at these maximum rates, consigned to Auckland, Wanganui, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.
And substituting the following:

And substituting the following:
In addition, a charge of 6d. for each cwt. or part of a cwt. will be made for fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, and nuts charged at these maximum rates, consigned to Frankton Junction, Hamilton, Wanganui, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.

Notice of Intention to take Land in Blocks VIII, XII, and XV, Horohoro Survey District, for the Purposes of a Road.
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a road in Blocks VIII, XII, and XV, Horohoro Survey District, and for the purposes of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the Post-office at Whakarewarewa, and is there open for inspection; and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of the said land should, if they have any well-grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of such land, set forth the same in writing, and send such writing, within forty days from the first publication of this notice, to the Minister of Public Works at Wellington.

In the Auckland Land District; as the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 60968, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works, at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured as above mentioned.

Defining Tauranga River and Extended-river Limits.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section one hundred and eighty-nine of the Shipping and Seamen Act, 1908, I, George James Anderson, Minister of Marine, do hereby define the Tauranga limits within which restricted-limit steamships and ships propelled by gas, oil, fluid, electricity, or any mechanical power other than steam, and to which restricted-limit certificates are issued, may ply to be those set forth herein, and I do divide such limits into river and extended-river limits.
River Limits.—Inside the Heads of Tauranga Harbour, including inside passage to Katikati.
Extended-river Limits.—Between Katikati and the new outlet of Rangitaiki River; and, in fine weather only, at the discretion of an officer appointed by the Marine Department in that behalf, inside straight lines drawn from the North Rock, Tauranga, to the northernmost and southernmost points respectively of Motiti Island, including the west coast only of the said Island; or, in fine weather only, at the discretion of an officer appointed by the Marine Department in that behalf, between Tauranga and Mayor Island.
Previous limits are hereby revoked.
