Ranger under the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, appointed.

IT is hereby notified that, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred by section 35 of the Animals Protection and Game Act, 1921–22, the undermentioned person has been appointed a Ranger under and for the purposes of that Act for the Whangarei Acclimatization District:—

to be a Marshal of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Christchurch ;
William Dryburgh Wallace, Esq.,
to be a Marshal of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at Invercargill; and
Henry Gilmore Smith, Esq.,
to be a Marshal of the Supreme Court of New Zealand at New Plymouth, in respect of its jurisdiction as a Colonial Court of Admiralty under the Colonial Courts of Admiralty Act, 1890.

IN pursuance of the powers conferred upon the Minister of Industries and Commerce by clause 9 of the Board of Trade (Gas) Regulations, 1924, the following appointments have been made:—
William Donovan, M.Sc., of Wellington, a Gas-examiner.
Kenneth Massey Griffin, M.Sc., A.I.C., of Auckland, a Gasexaminer.
Felix John Theodore Grigg, M.Sc., A.I.C., of Wellington, a Gas-examiner.
Lionel Harry James, M.Sc., of Wellington, a Gas-examiner.
William Alexander Joiner, M.Sc., of Wellington, a Gas-examiner.
The above appointments to take effect as from the date of the publication of this notice in the Gazette.

Appointments, Promotions, Resignations, and Transfers of Officers of the N.Z. Staff Corps, Royal N.Z. Artillery, and Territorial Force.

Major C. E. Andrews, O.B.E., to be Brevet Lieutenant-Colonel. Dated 1st July, 1925.
THE REGIMENT OF ROYAL N.Z. ARTILLERY.
Captain G. B. Parkinson relinquishes the appointment of Officer-in-charge, Harbour Defences, and Officer Commanding Royal N.Z. Artillery Detachment, Northern Command, and proceeds abroad to undergo a gunnery staff course in England, and is seconded while so employed. Dated 15th June, 1925.
Captain W. Ivory relinquishes the appointment of Inspecting Ordnance Officer and acting Inspector of Ordnance Machinery, and is appointed Officer-in-charge, Harbour Defences, and Officer Commanding Royal N.Z. Artillery Detachment, Northern Command. Dated 17th June, 1925.
Lieutenant A. de T. Nevill is appointed Acting Inspecting Ordnance Officer, and retains the appointment of Staff Captain (Artillery). Dated 18th June, 1925.
