Notice to Mariners No. 50 of 1925.

NEW ZEALAND.—SOUTH ISLAND.—FOVEAUX STRAIT.—BLUFF HARBOUR.

Berthing Beacons installed.

THE Bluff Harbour Board notify that two pile beacons have been placed on the sandbank, which dries at low water, to the westward of the wharf.

The front beacon, white-painted, is situated 943 yards from the western end of the wharf, and the rear beacon, black-painted, is 200 yards westward of the front beacon.

These pile beacons have been placed so as to provide a transit line parallel to the wharf-face and distant 200 yards from it.

They are intended only for the purpose of facilitating the handling of ships at or near the wharf.

Alteration to the Scale of Fares, Rates, and Charges in Force upon the New Zealand Government Railways.

IN pursuance of all powers and authorities enabling me under the Government Railways Act, 1908, and its amendments, I, Joseph Gordon Coates, Minister of Railways, do hereby make the following alterations in the scale of fares, rates, and charges in force on the New Zealand Government railways open for traffic, as published in the Gazette of 12th December, 1912 (and amended from time to time), and I do hereby declare that such alterations shall come into force on the 22nd June, 1925, and that, unless otherwise provided, the charges herein prescribed shall in each case be increased by two fifths.


PART II.—LUGGAGE, PARCELS, HORSES, ETC.

PARCEL RATES.

By omitting the following:—

In addition to the above rates a charge of 6d. for each cwt. or part of a cwt. will be made upon all parcels consigned to Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.

And substituting the following:—

In addition to the above rates a charge of 6d. for each cwt. or part of a cwt. will be made upon all parcels consigned to Auckland, Wanganui, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.

FRUIT, VEGETABLES, MUSHROOMS, AND NUTS.

By omitting the following:—

In addition, a charge of 6d. for each cwt. or part of a cwt. will be made for fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, and nuts charged at these maximum rates, consigned as parcels to Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.

And substituting the following:—

In addition, a charge of 6d. for each cwt. or part of a cwt. will be made for fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, and nuts charged at these maximum rates, consigned as parcels to Auckland, Wanganui, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.

GAME, DEAD HARES, DEAD RABBITS, and FRESH FISH.

By omitting the following:—

In addition, a charge of 6d. for each 28 lb. or part of 28 lb. will be made for game, dead hares, dead rabbits, and fresh fish charged at these maximum rates, consigned to Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.

And substituting the following:—

In addition, a charge of 6d. for each 28 lb. or part of 28 lb. will be made for game, dead hares, dead rabbits, and fresh fish charged at these maximum rates, consigned to Auckland, Wanganui, Wellington, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.

PART III.—GOODS: REGULATIONS.

By omitting from Regulation 14 the following:—

In addition, a charge of 6d. for each cwt. or part of a cwt. will be made for fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, and nuts charged at these maximum rates, consigned to Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.

And substituting the following:—

In addition, a charge of 6d. for each cwt. or part of a cwt. will be made for fruit, vegetables, mushrooms, and nuts charged at these maximum rates, consigned to Wanganui, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.

GAME, DEAD HARES, DEAD RABBITS, AND FRESH FISH.

By omitting from Regulation 15 the following:—

In addition, a charge of 6d. for each 28 lb. or part of 28 lb. will be made for game, dead hares, dead rabbits, and fresh fish charged at these maximum rates, consigned to Auckland, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.

And substituting the following:—

In addition, a charge of 6d. for each 28 lb. or part of 28 lb. will be made for game, dead hares, dead rabbits, and fresh fish charged at these maximum rates, consigned to Auckland, Wanganui, Christchurch, Dunedin, or Invercargill.

By omitting from Regulation 24 the following:—

Certificate for Exhibits forwarded to Shows, &c.

We hereby certify that the undermentioned were exhibited by Mr. __ at the (a) __, and that no sales or exchanges have been effected since the exhibits were conveyed by rail:—
