Notice of Change of the Purposes of Portion of a Reserve in
the Township of Hampden, Hawke's Bay Land District.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section six of the Public Reserves and
Domains Act, 1908 (hereinafter referred to as “the
said Act”), the Governor-General is empowered, in the case
of any public reserve vested in His Majesty or the Governor-
General for any of the purposes comprised in Class II of the
Second Schedule to the said Act, to change the purpose for
which such reserve was set apart to any other purpose:

And whereas the land described in the Schedule hereto
forms portion of a reserve duly set apart for a site for a
post-office, being a purpose within Class II of the Second
Schedule to the said Act, and it is expedient to change, as
hereinafter provided, the purpose of such portion:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby, in pursuance of the powers conferred on me by sec-
tion six of the said Act as aforesaid, declare that the portion
of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto is hereby
changed from a reserve for a site for a post-office to a reserve
for an addition to a site for a public library. And I do hereby
further declare that this notice is issued subject to the pro-
visions of section seven of the said Act, and shall take effect
according to the provisions of that section.


SCHEDULE.

ALL that area in the Hawke’s Bay Land District, containing
by admeasurement 13·4 perches, more or less, being part
Section No. 175, Township of Hampden (Tikokino). Bounded
towards the north by public library site and by Owen Street
for distances of 50 links and 10·6 links, respectively; towards
the east by part Section 175, a distance of 200 links; towards
the south by Section 7, a distance of 60·6 links; and towards
the west by Section 86 and public library site, for distances
of 124·3 links and 75·7 links, respectively: be all the afore-
said linkages more or less. As the same is delineated on the
plan marked L. and S. 22/2793, deposited in the Head Office,
Department of Lands and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon
coloured red.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 28th day of May, 1925.

Notifying the Proposed Exchange of Crown Land in the North
Auckland Land District for other Land.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

WHEREAS by section one hundred and sixty of the
Land Act, 1924, it is enacted that it shall be lawful
for the Governor-General, whenever he deems it expedient in
the public interest, to grant in fee-simple any area of Crown
land which is subject to the provisions of the Land Act,
1924, in exchange for the fee-simple of any other land, and
on any such exchange to pay or receive any sum by way
of equality of exchange:

And whereas, in the opinion of the Governor-General, it
is expedient to exchange the Crown land described in the
First Schedule hereto for the land of equal value described
in the Second Schedule hereto, and the owner of the land
described in the Second Schedule has agreed to such ex-
change:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of
the Dominion of New Zealand, in exercise of the aforesaid
powers and authorities, doth hereby declare that it is his
intention to grant in fee-simple the area of Crown land
described in the First Schedule hereto in exchange for the
fee-simple of the land described in the Second Schedule.


FIRST SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND AUTHORIZED TO BE EXCHANGED.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 7 acres 2 roods 26 perches, more
or less, being Allotment 430, Parish of Waikomiti; as the
same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S.
22/2686, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged red.


SECOND SCHEDULE.

DESCRIPTION OF LAND TO BE OBTAINED IN EXCHANGE
THEREFOR.

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, con-
taining by admeasurement 7 acres 2 roods 26 perches, more
or less, being part of Allotment 69, Parish of Waikomiti,
shown on North Auckland plan No. 23151, blue; as the
same is more particularly delineated on plan marked L. and S.
22/2686, deposited in the Head Office, Department of Lands
and Survey, at Wellington, and thereon edged blue.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-
General, this 12th day of June, 1925.

Notifying Lands in Otago Land District for Sale by Public
Auction.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance of the powers and authorities conferred
upon me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the
Land Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet,
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do
hereby appoint Thursday, the twenty-third day of July, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, as the time at which
the lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by
public auction; and I do hereby fix the prices at which the
said lands shall be sold as those mentioned in the said
Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT.—FIRST-CLASS LAND.

Tuapeka County.—Teviot Survey District.

SECTION 62, Block II: Area, 4 acres 2 roods 33 perches; upset
price, £25.

Weighted with £112 12s., valuation for buildings and fencing,
to be paid for in cash on the fall of the hammer.

Level section fronting the Roxburgh—Coal Creek Road.
Situated about four miles from Roxburgh. Light soil on
gravel. No water.

Waitaki County.—Oamaru Survey District.

Sections 48 and 1236B, Block III: Area, 2 acres 3 roods
21 perches; upset price, £15.

Weighted with £1 15s., valuation for fencing on main road,
to be paid for in cash on the fall of the hammer.

NOTE.—Present licensee to be allowed one month within
which to remove fencing at south end of Section 48.

Adjoins Town of Weston, which is about three miles and a
half from Oamaru on a good metalled road. Section is an
abandoned quarry and the surface is much broken, but
produces good grass in parts.

me by section one hundred and thirty-two of the Land
Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Go-
vernor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby
appoint Thursday, the thirtieth day of July, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-five, as the time at which the
lands described in the Schedule hereto shall be sold by public
auction for cash or on deferred payments; and I hereby fix
the prices at which the said lands shall be sold as those men-
tioned in the said Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT.

Eden County.—Auckland Suburbs.

Lot 187 of Section 10: Area, 35·9 perches; upset price,
£475.

Lot 188 of Section 10: Area, 35·5 perches; upset price,
£400.

Section 187 has a frontage to Gillies Avenue of 79 ft., and
runs back to a depth of 124 ft.

Section 188 fronts Corbett Scott Avenue for a similar
frontage, and extends back to meet Section 187, a distance
of 122 ft.
