And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five.

Districts constituted under the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924.

A PROCLAMATION.

IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in the Governor-General by the Births and Deaths Registration Act, 1924, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby abolish the existing registration districts known as the Tirau, Taupo, and Rotorua Districts, and do proclaim and declare that the territory heretofore comprised within the said districts is hereby divided anew into four registration districts, the names whereof shall be the Putaruru, Tirau, Rotorua, and Taupo Districts, and the boundaries whereof shall be conterminous with the boundaries of the marriage districts bearing the same names as are set forth in a Proclamation of even date herewith, made under the provisions of the Marriage Act, 1908.

And I hereby declare that this Proclamation shall come into operation on the first day of July, in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five.

Constituting the Golden Bay Electric-power District.

A PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS it is provided by section three of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, that any area or areas of land may be constituted an electric-power district under the said Act, and in the manner therein provided:

And whereas a petition praying that the area described in the First Schedule hereto may be constituted an electric-power district under the said Act was presented to the Governor-General on the second day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five:

And whereas such petition was publicly notified in the Golden Bay Times dated the sixth day of February, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, being a newspaper circulating in the proposed electric-power district:

And whereas, after due inquiry, the Governor-General is of opinion that the petition should be granted subject to the proposed boundaries of the district being altered as herein-after appears:

Now, therefore, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority conferred upon me by section three of the Electric-power Boards Act, 1918, do hereby alter the proposed boundaries and proclaim the district with the altered boundaries as described in the Second Schedule hereto to be an electric-power district; and I hereby assign to such district the name of the "Golden Bay Electric-power District."

FIRST SCHEDULE.

ALL that parcel of land comprising the Takaka Town District and part of the County of Takaka in part Block III, Totaranui Survey District, Blocks III, VI, VII, X, and part Blocks II, IV, V, IX, and XI, Waitapu Survey District, and part Blocks VI and VII, Takaka Survey District.

Commencing at the northern corner of Section 17 of Block III, Totaranui Survey District, thence southerly along the eastern boundary of said Section 17; thence westerly along the southern boundary of said Section 17, Sections 18, 10, 4, and 5 of Block III, Totaranui Survey District, Sections 3, 19, 20, and 10 of Block VII, Waitapu Survey District, and Section 18 of Block XI, Waitapu Survey District; thence northerly along the western boundary of Sections 18 and 12, Block XI, Waitapu Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundary of Section 17, Block XI, Waitapu Survey District, Sections 11, 10, 9, 8, part l of l of Block IV, Waitapu Survey District, Sections 11, 18, 17, 16, 15, 19, 6 of Block III, Waitapu Survey District, Sections 102, 35, 108, part 35, part 3, part 4, Block VII, Waitapu Survey District; thence northerly by the western boundary of Section 4 of Block VII, Waitapu Survey District, Sections 2, 120, part of l of Block VII, Takaka Survey District, and Sections 2, 5, 10, 9, and 3 of Block VI, Takaka Survey District; thence easterly along the northern boundary of said Section 3 of Block VI, Takaka Survey District, Sections 88, 21, 9, part 147, 149, part 2 of 165, part l of 165, 141 of Block II, Waitapu Survey District, Sections 142, 94, 93, 10, 13, 38, part 39, 215, 214 of Block IX, Waitapu Survey District, part 45, Sections 46, 47, and 48, 50, and 51 of Block V, Waitapu Survey District; thence in a southerly direction along the coast-line to the commencing-point.

SECOND SCHEDULE.

GOLDEN BAY ELECTRIC-POWER DISTRICT.

ALL that area in the Nelson Land District, being the Takaka Town District and part of the County of Takaka, and bounded by a line commencing at a point on the sea-coast in line with the northern boundary of Section 17, Block III, Totaranui Survey District; thence to and along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of the said section; thence southerly generally along the eastern boundaries of Sections 17, 18, 10; 4, and 5, and the south-western boundary of the said Section 5, Block III, Totaranui Survey District, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the eastern boundaries generally of Sections 3, 19, 20, 10, and 18, Block XI, Waitapu Survey District, to the south-eastern corner of the said Section 18; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Sections 18 and 12 to the north-eastern corner of Section 17, Block XI afore-said; thence along the eastern boundary of Section 17 aforesaid; the north-eastern and south-eastern boundaries of Section 11, the south-eastern and southern boundaries of Sections 10, 9, and 8 to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the north-western and south-western boundaries of Section 2, the eastern and part of the southern boundary of Section 16, the eastern boundary of Section 15, the northern, eastern, and south-eastern boundary of Section 19, and the southern boundary of Section 6, Block III, Takaka Survey District, to the south-western corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along the southern boundaries of Section 108 and the southern boundary of Section 35 to and across the Takaka River; thence southerly along the western side of the Takaka River; thence up that river to the south-eastern corner of Section 4, Block VII, Takaka Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundaries of Sections 4, 2, 120, and l, Block VII aforesaid, to the stream forming the western boundary of the said Section 1; thence along that stream and along part of the southern boundary of Section 4, Block VI, Takaka Survey District, the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of Section 2, Block VI aforesaid, the southern boundaries of Sections part 1 and 5, the southern and western boundaries of Section 10, the southern boundary of Section 9, and the eastern, southern, and western boundaries of Section 3 to the Waingaro River; thence down the eastern side of the said Waingaro River to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Section 21, Block II, Takaka Survey District; thence along the western boundaries of Sections 21 and 9, Block II aforesaid, to Long Plain Road; thence north-easterly along that road to the north-eastern corner of part l of Section 143, Block II aforesaid; thence along the south-western and part of the north-western boundaries of Section 142; the south-western and western boundaries of Section 94, Block IX, Waitapu Survey District, to the Anatoki River; thence up that river to the south-western boundary of Section 93, Block IX aforesaid; thence along the south-western and northern boundaries of Sections 10 and 13, the south-western boundaries of Sections 38 and 39, Block IX aforesaid, the south-eastern and south-western boundaries of Section 215, the south-western and north-western boundaries of Section 214, Block IX aforesaid, to the north-eastern corner of the last-mentioned section; thence along a right line, being the
