MACKENZIE COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Mackenzie County Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £3,000, authorized to be raised by the
Mackenzie County Council under the above-mentioned Act,
for the erection of bridges in the County of Mackenzie, the
said Mackenzie County Council hereby makes and levies a
special rate of one-sixtieth of a penny (1/60th d.) in the pound
sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital
value) of all rateable property of the whole of the County
of Mackenzie; and that such special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable
yearly on the 1st day of August in each and every year during
the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-
half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

NGARUAWAHA BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Ngaruawahia Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £900, authorized to be raised by the
Ngaruawahia Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act for the purpose of completing the erection of a Town
Hall, municipal offices, and shops in the Great South Road,
the said Ngaruawahia Borough Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of four-fifteenths of a penny in the pound
upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough
of Ngaruawahia; and that special rate shall be an annual-
recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be
payable half-yearly on the first day of April and the first day
of October in each and every year during the currency of such
loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until
the loan is fully paid off.

GREEN ISLAND BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE PASSED BY THE ABOVE
COUNCIL ON THE 13TH DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1925.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Green Island Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £1,500, authorized to be raised by the
Green Island Borough Council under the above-mentioned
Act for sanitary works required under a requisition dated
the 13th day of June, 1923, of the Board of Health, the
said the Green Island Borough Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of 1d. in the pound upon the rateable
value of all rateable property within the borough, comprising
the whole of the Borough of Green Island; and that such
special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, and be payable half-yearly on the
30th day of September and the 31st day of March in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of 36 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
PIAKO COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that
behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Piako
County Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect
of the principal, interest, and other charges on a loan of
£5,000, authorized to be raised by the Piako County Council
under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of metalling
roads in the Hangawera Roads Special-rating Area, the said
Piako County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate
of twopence and three farthings in the pound on the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property in the Hangawera Roads Special-rating Area,
comprising all that area in the Land District of Auckland,
being bounded as follows :-
Commencing at a point on the northern boundary of
Section 1 of 2/3 of 11/12, Hangawera Block, Block I,
Maungakawa Survey District, being about 24 chains distant
east from a public road; thence in an easterly direction
following the northern boundary of Lots 3, 2, and 1 of
11/12 and Lot 13, Hangawera Block, to the north-easterly
corner of Lot 13; thence in a southerly direction, for a dis-
tance of 68 chains, following the eastern boundary of Lot 13,
Hangawera, to the north-west corner of L.T. 1800A, Part
Te Mimi 2703 ; thence in an easterly direction, for a distance
of 72 chains, following the northern boundary of the said
L.T. 1800A, Part Te Mimi ; thence in a southerly direction,
for a distance of 40 chains, to a point in the northern
boundary of Section 2, Motumaoho No. 2, Block I,
Maungakawa Survey District, being equidistant from its
north-west and north-east corners ; thence in a southerly
direction through the centre of Section 2, Motumaoho
No. 2, to a point midway in its southern boundary-line ;
thence in an easterly direction following the northern
boundary of Section 3, Motumaoho No. 2, for a distance of
16 chains, and by a direct line in a southerly direction
through the said Section 3, Motumaoho No. 2, for a distance
of 20 chains, to a public road; thence across the public
road and following a direct line in a southerly direction to
a point on the southern boundary of Section 4, Motumaoho
No. 2, being a distance of 8 chains from its eastern boundary;
thence in a south-westerly direction following the southern
boundaries of Sections 4 and 5, Motumaoho No. 2 and
Lot 3 of Motumaoho Nos. 1/2, Block V, Maungakawa Survey
District, to the south-western corner of the said Lot 3;
thence in a northerly direction to a point in the southern
boundary of Lot 9, Hangawera, being distant 48 chains
from its south-west corner; thence following the southern
boundaries of the said Lot 9 in a westerly direction for a
distance of 16 chains; thence in a northerly direction
to a point in the southern boundary of Lot 10, Hangawera,
being situated 32 chains easterly from its south-west
corner; thence in a westerly direction for a distance of
8 chains; thence in a northerly direction to a public road
and across the said public road to a point in Lots 2 and 3
of 11/12, Hangawera, being a distance of 24 chains from
the junction of the two public roads ; thence in a westerly
direction following the boundary of Lots 2/3 of 11/12,
Hangawera, for a distance of 6 chains; thence in a
northerly direction to the point of commencement.
And that such rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly in the 1st
day of April in each and every year during the currency of
such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years,
or until the loan is fully paid off.
BOROUGH OF WHANGAREI.
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1920, and
the Public Works Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei Borough
Council proposes, under the provisions of the above-
mentioned Acts, to execute a certain public work-namely,
the making of a public road adjoining the railway reserve
between Manse Street and Wrack Street, in the Borough of
Whangarei, and for the purpose of such public work the lands
described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the lands
so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the
Town Clerk to the said Council situate in Bank Street, and is
open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public
work or by the taking of such lands who have any well-
grounded objections to the execution of the said public work
or to the taking of the said lands, must state their objections
in writing, and send the same within forty days from the first
publication of this notice to the Town Clerk at the Council
Chambers, Bank Street.
SCHEDULE.
APOROXIMATE area of parcels of land required to be taken:
2 roods 6.8 perches.
Being portion of Gorries subdivision of Allotment 1, Blocks
XII, Purua Survey District, and IX, Whangarei Survey
District; coloured on plan : Pink.
Situate in the Borough of Whangarei.
