Inspector of Scenic Reserve appointed.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section four of the Scenery Preservation Act, 1908, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby appoint

Raymond Wilfred Matthews

to be an Inspector under the said Act in respect to the scenic reserve described in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE.

WAIRARAPA LAKE SHORE SCENIC RESERVE.—WELLINGTON LAND DISTRICT.

SECTION 1, Block IX, Wairarapa Survey District: Area, 53 acres 12 perches.

Also Section 2, Block IX, Wairarapa Survey District: Area, 14 acres 2 roods 11 perches.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 25th day of May, 1925.

Appointing a Member of the Napier Harbour Board.

CHARLES FERGUSSON, Governor-General.

WHEREAS it is provided by subsection three of section thirty-eight of the Harbours Act, 1923, that in the event of an extraordinary vacancy in the office of a non-elective member of a Harbour Board, the Governor-General shall, by Warrant under his hand, appoint some qualified person in his place:

And whereas William Kinross White, a non-elective member of the Napier Harbour Board, has forfeited his office on the Board through the operation of clause (h) of subsection one of section thirty-four of the said Act, and it is desirable to appoint a duly qualified person in his place:

Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the hereinbefore power and authority, and of all other powers and authorities enabling him in that behalf, doth hereby appoint

George Frederick Roach

to be a member of the Napier Harbour Board, in place of the said William Kinross White.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, this 20th day of May, 1925.

Officers appointed to take and receive Statutory Declarations.

PURSUANT to the authority conferred upon me by section two hundred and eighty-eight of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908, and section sixteen of the Justices of the Peace Amendment Act, 1923, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby notify and declare that the persons whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto, being persons holding office in the service of the Crown, as stated opposite their names in the said Schedule, are authorized to take and receive statutory declarations under section two hundred and eighty-eight of the Justices of the Peace Act, 1908.

Walter Powell, of Tawarenga,

to be a Ranger under the said Act for the Bay of Islands Acclimatization District.
