A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred by section three hundred and eighty-nine of the Native Land Act, 1909, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby lay out and take as a road the land described in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE.
APPROXIMATE area of the piece of road laid out and taken: 3 acres 3 roods 33 perches.
Being portion of Orokawa No. 3c Block, Block III, Russell Survey District (Auckland R.D.). (S.O. 23107.)
In the North Auckland Land District; as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan marked P.W.D. 62024, deposited in the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, and issued under the Seal of that Dominion, this 4th day of May, 1925.

A PROCLAMATION.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in me by the Public Works Act, 1908, and of every other power and authority in anywise enabling me in this behalf, I, General Sir Charles Fergusson, Baronet, Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, do hereby proclaim as stopped the Government road described in the Schedule hereto, such road being no longer required.

Consenting to the raising of Loans by certain Local Authorities.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 24th day of April, 1925.
Present:
THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS application has been made under section twenty, subsection one, of the Finance Act, 1919, for the precedent consent of the Governor-General in Council to enable the several local authorities mentioned in the Schedule hereto to borrow the sums set out therein, and it is expedient that such consent should issue:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby consent to the raising of the loans hereinafter mentioned by the several local authorities set out in the Schedule hereto, and it is hereby declared that this Order in Council is made under the provisions in that behalf of the Finance Act, 1919, and shall operate accordingly as a consent of the Governor-General in Council to the raising of the said loans.

Prescribing the Rate of Interest that may be paid by the Wairere Electric-power Board in respect of a Loan of £31,000, being the Balance of a Loan of £38,500 authorized to be raised for Electrical Reticulation.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 27th day of April, 1925.

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by section eleven of the Finance Act, 1921, and its amendments, it is provided that, notwithstanding anything to the contrary in any Act or in any rule of law, where a local authority or public body has been authorized before the passing of the said Act, or is thereafter authorized, to borrow money, whether pursuant to a poll of ratepayers or otherwise howsoever, whether the rate of interest or the term of years of the loan was or was not specified or determined, and such money or any part thereof has not been borrowed, the local authority may, with the precedent consent of the Minister of Finance, borrow such money, or such amount thereof as has not been borrowed, at such rate of interest, or for such term, as may be prescribed by the Governor-General by Order in Council:
And whereas the Wairere Electric-power Board has been authorized to borrow the sum of thirty-eight thousand five hundred pounds for electrical reticulation, and is now desirous of raising the sum of thirty-one thousand pounds, being the balance of the loan of thirty-eight thousand five hundred pounds:
And whereas the Minister of Finance has given his precedent consent as required by the above-recited section eleven, and it is desired that the rate of interest at which the money may be borrowed be not exceeding six per centum per annum:
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, in pursuance and exercise of the power and authority vested in him as aforesaid, and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth hereby prescribe that the rate of interest that may be paid by the Wairere Electric-power Board in respect of the said loan of thirty-one thousand pounds shall be a rate not exceeding six per centum per annum, and the said Wairere Electric-power Board is hereby authorized to borrow the said sum of thirty-one thousand pounds accordingly.
