Government Orders and Declarations




Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that the
portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall, on
and after the date of gazetting of this Order in Council,
become a Government road.

SCHEDULE.

WHANGAREI-KAWAKAWA: All that portion of the highway
known as the Whangarei-Kawakawa Main Highway, com-
mencing at the southern boundary of the Bay of Islands
County, and proceeding thence generally in a north-westerly
direction via Towai, and terminating at the north-west
corner of Section 3, Block IV, Motatau Survey District,
passing through the County of Bay of Islands, being a dis-
tance of nine miles, more or less; marked L-M on plan.
As the same is more particularly delineated on the plan
marked M.H. 45, deposited in the office of the Minister of
Public Works at Wellington, in the Wellington Land District,
and thereon coloured blue and marked as above mentioned.

Declaring a Portion of Road in Highway District No. 7, Taranaki
County, to be a Government Road.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 31st day
of March, 1925.
Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in him by
the Public Works Act, 1908, and of all other powers in
anywise enabling him in this behalf, His Excellency the
Governor-General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting
by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council
of the said Dominion, doth hereby order and declare that
the portion of road described in the Schedule hereto shall,
on and after the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred
and twenty-five, become a Government road.

SCHEDULE.

LEPPERTON Junction - Hawera, via Opunake : All that portion
of road in the Taranaki County, commencing at the western
boundary of the Borough of New Plymouth, and proceeding
thence generally in a south-westerly direction via Oakura,
Okato, and terminating at the southern boundary of the
Taranaki County near Puniho, passing through the County
of Taranaki, being a distance of seventeen miles, more or
less; marked G-H on plan. As the same is more particu-
larly delineated on the plan marked M.H. 28, deposited in
the office of the Minister of Public Works at Wellington, in
the Wellington Land District, and thereon coloured blue and
marked as above mentioned.

Declaring a Public Highway in the No. 7 Highway District
to be a Main Highway.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 31st day
of March, 1925.
Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities
vested in him by section three of the Main Highways
Act, 1922, and of all other powers in anywise enabling him
in this behalf, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of the said Dominion, doth
hereby declare that on and after the first day of April, one
thousand nine hundred and twenty-five, the public highway
mentioned in the Schedule hereto shall be a main highway
within the meaning and for the purposes of the Main High-
ways Act, 1922.

SCHEDULE.

LEPPERTON Junction - Hawera, via Opunake. All that por-

Notifying and declaring that Crown Land held on Lease for
Agricultural Purposes under Part VIII of the Land Act,
1908, or Part VIII of the Land Act, 1924, shall be a
Sufficient Security under the State Advances Act, 1913.

At the Government Buildings at Wellington, this 30th day
of March, 1925.
Present:

THE HONOURABLE SIR FRANCIS BELL PRESIDING IN COUNCIL.
IN pursuance and exercise of the power and authority
conferred on him by paragraph (s) of subsection one
of section thirty-two of the State Advances Act, 1913 (here-
inafter termed “the said Act”), His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with
the advice and consent of the Executive Council of the said
Dominion, doth hereby notify and declare that land held
on lease as hereinafter specified shall be a sufficient security
for a loan under Part II of the said Act, namely :-

Crown land held on lease for agricultural purposes under
Part VIII of the Land Act, 1908, or Part VIII of the
Land Act, 1924;
and the provisions of section forty-six of the said Act shall
apply accordingly.

Regulations for the Purposes of Section 142 of the Health
Act. (H. 2/15.)

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on him
by the Health Act, 1920, His Excellency the Governor-
General of the Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and
with the advice and consent of the Executive Council of
the said Dominion, doth hereby make the following regula-
tions for the said Act.

REGULATIONS.

THE regulations made for the purpose of section 142 of the
Health Act, 1920; and published in the Gazette on the 21st
day of July, 1921, are hereby amended by deleting from
clause 2 thereof the words “at least three days before the date
fixed for the hearing of the application.”
