Paeroa Borough Council for assisting ratepayers in the Borough of Paeroa to connect with the sewers, the said Paeroa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-fourth of one penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Paeroa; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the lst day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 10 years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

Water-improvements Loan.

That, for the purpose of providing interest and other charges on a loan of £6,000, authorized to be raised by the Paeroa Borough Council for enlarging, renewing, and extending water mains and reticulation in the Borough of Paeroa, the said Paeroa Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of eleven-sixteenths of one penny in the pound upon the unimproved value of all rateable property in the Borough of Paeroa; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the lst day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of $36 rac{1}{2}$ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

DISSOLUTION OF PARTNERSHIP.

THE Partnership hitherto existing between DONALD MILLER RITCHIE and JOHN YOUNG, trading at Tahakopa, Catlin's District, Otago, as "Ritchie and Young," Sawmillers, has as from the Ist day of February, 1925, been dissolved by mutual consent. The said Donald Miller Ritchie retires from the business, and all moneys owing by the firm will be paid by the said John Young, who is entitled to receive all moneys owing to the firm.

THE OTAGO HARBOUR BOARD.

Notice of Intention to take Lands.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Otago Harbour Board has resolved and proposes to take under the provisions of the Public Works Act, 1908, and the amendments thereof the lands specified in the Schedule hereto for the purposes mentioned in the Otago Harbour Board Empowering Act, 1913.

And notice is hereby further given that a plan showing the lands required to be taken and the name of the owner and occupier of such lands is deposited at the Board's office, Birch Street, Dunedin, and is open for inspection by all persons at all reasonable hours; and the Board calls upon all persons affected to set forth in writing any well-grounded objections to the taking of such lands and to send such writing within forty days from the first publication of this notice to the Board addressed to the Secretary thereof.

SCHEDULE.

All that parcel of land containing by admeasurement eight poles and ninety-six one-hundredths of a pole, more or less, situate in Dunedin, and being parts of Sections numbered respectively Eleven (11) and Twelve (12), Block Forty-seven (XLVII), on the map of Dunedin aforesaid, and bounded towards the south by Rattray Street, one hundred and thirty-eight links and forty-three one-hundredths of a link; towards the east by Fish Street, forty-two links and two-hundredths of a link; towards the north by other parts of said Sections Eleven (11) and Twelve (12), one hundred and thirty-seven links and ninety-one one-hundredths of a link; and towards the west by Section numbered Ten (10) of the same block, thirty-nine links and three one-hundredths of a link.

TAURANGA BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION STRIKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Tauranga Borough Council hereby resolves as follows:- That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two thousand pounds (£2,000), authorized to be raised by the Tauranga Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of forming, grading, channelling, metalling, and coating with bitumen, tar, chips, metal, sand, or screenings the following streets-namely, 11th Avenue from Cameron Road to Dairy Factory, Willow Street from McLean Street to Brown Street, Brown Street from Willow Street to Cliff Road, Cliff Road from Brown Street to the Public Works road leading to railway-station, the said Tauranga Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one-twelfth of a penny in the pound upon the unimproved rateable value of all rateable property of the Borough of Tauranga, comprising the whole of the Borough of Tauranga; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of $36 rac{1}{2}$ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

FEILDING BOROUGH COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers and authorities vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers in that behalf it enabling, the Feilding Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :- That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of eighteen thousand five hundred pounds (£18,500) authorized to be raised by the Feilding Borough Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of improving, extending, and safeguarding the Borough waterworks, including the intake, pipe-line, reservoirs, &c., and for making all alterations, additions, and extensions to the existing waterworks as may be necessary to effectually carry out the same, the said Feilding Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of fifteen-sixteenths (15/16ths) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property within the Borough of Feilding, comprising the whole borough ; and that such special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the lst day of July in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty-five years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

OSTEND ROAD BOARD.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Ostend Road Board hereby resolves as follows :- That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,700 authorized to be raised by the Ostend Road Board under the above mentioned Act for- 1. Erecting and completing retaining-wall on Wharf Road : 2. Forming, making, and metalling Wharf Road from wharf to junction of Onetangi and Wharf Roads : 3. Forming, making and metalling Onetangi Road : 4. Forming portion of Zigzag Road : 5. Forming portion of Short Street : 6. Provision of public offices for the district, including the purchase of all necessary land and erection of all necessary buildings : 7. Provision and acquisition of a quarry, together with all necessary plant : 8. Expenses of raising the loan and payment of first year's interest and sinking fund, also engineering charges, expenses, and contingencies,- the said Ostend Road Board hereby makes and levies a special rate of four-fifths of one penny in the £1 upon the rateable value of all rateable property of the Ostend Road District, comprising the whole of the said Ostend Road District ; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of April in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and one-half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
