WOODROFFE AND COMPANY, having recently been
formed into a limited company in pursuance of the English
Companies Acts, under the name or style of "Gordon Wood-
roffe and Company (Limited)" the company propose to carry

THAMES BOROUGH COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the
Thames Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of £575, authorized to be
raised by the Thames Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Act, for the purpose of completing the undertaking
in respect of which the sum of £5,750 was raised in the year
1923--namely, the acquisition of lands required for approach
roads to proposed new Kauaeranga Traffic-bridge from Pollen,
Mackay, Fenton, Banks, and Bowen Streets, the fencing,
forming, and metalling of such roads ; and the construction
of bridges, culverts, drains, stop-banks, flood-gates, and other
minor works in connection therewith--the said Thames
Borough Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of
one twenty-sixth of one penny in the pound upon the rate-
able value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all
rateable property of the Borough of Thames, comprising the
whole of the Borough of Thames; and that such special rate
shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such
loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of August in each
and every year during the currency of such loan, being a
period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

ONERAHI TOWN BOARD.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and
of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Onerahi
Town Board hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of
interest and principal and other charges on the Onerahi Town
Water-supply Loan of £7,000, 1924, authorized to be raised
by the Board under the provisions of the above-mentioned
Act, for the purpose of providing a water-supply scheme for
the Town District of Onerahi, the said Board hereby makes
and levies a special rate of three and thirty-one fourtieths of
a penny (3 31/40ths d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable
value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable
property in the Town District of Onerahi; and that such
special rate shall be an annually recurring rate during the
currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a
half (364) years, or until the loan is fully paid off, and be
payable yearly on the first day of June in each and every
year during the currency of the said loan.

HOROWHENUA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Counties Act, 1920, and the Local
Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Horowhenua County Council
hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other
charges on a loan of £90,000, authorized to be raised by the
Horowhenua County Council under the above-mentioned Acts,
for the purpose of providing the Council's contribution under
the Main Highways Act, 1922, towards the construction or
reconstruction of main highways in the County of Horowhenua,
together with the necessary plant and machinery therefor,
the said Horowhenua County Council hereby makes and
levies a special rate of one-third of one penny (4d.) in the
pound upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital
value) on all rateable property in the County of Horowhenua,
comprising the whole of the County of Horowhenua; and
that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during
the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the
first day of April in each and every year during the currency
of such loan, being a period not exceeding thirty-six and a
half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in
that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and
its amendments and of all other Acts and powers it enabling,
the Shannon Borough Council hereby resolves as follows :-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest, sinking
fund, and other charges on a loan of £1,000 authorized to be
raised by the Shannon Borough Council under the above-
mentioned Acts and powers for the purpose of completing
the undertaking of providing a water-supply for the Borough
of Shannon, for which a loan of £11,000 was authorized by a
