OTAGO ELECTRIC-POWER BOARD.

RESOLUTION STRIKING A RATE.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Otago Electric-power Board hereby resolves as follows:-
That for the purposes of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of two hundred thousand pounds (£200,000), authorized to be raised by the Otago Electric-power Board under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of the reticulation of the district, the purchase of the reticulation in the Milton Borough and the Milton line, the proposed extension to outlying districts, assistance to Consumers Fund, and erection of standby plant or for other contingencies, the said Otago Electric-power Board hereby makes and levies a special rate ot 1½d. in the £1 upon the capital value of all rateable property within the inner area of the Board—that is to say, the portions of Waihemo, Waikouaiti, Bruce, and Clutha Counties, within such inner area, and the whole of the Boroughs of Palmerston, Waikouaiti, Kaitangata, and Balclutha; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

MEDICAL REGISTRATION.

RICHARD BOWDEN MARTIN, M.B., Ch.B., University of New Zealand, 1924, now residing in Wellington, hereby give notice that I intend applying on the 6th January, 1925, to have my name placed on the Medical Register of the Dominion of New Zealand; and that I have deposited the evidence of my qualification in the office of the Registrar of Births and Deaths at Wellington.

WAITOMO COUNTY COUNCIL.

SPECIAL RESOLUTION MADE ON THE 8TH DAY OF AUGUST, 1924.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Waitomo County Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £150, authorized to be raised by the Waitomo County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of re-forming, culverting, and metalling portion of the Awakino Valley Road (Upper) from its junction with the Kuiti-Mokau Road to the beginning of the existing metal, the said Waitomo County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of one penny and a halfpenny in the pound (£1) upon the unimproved value of all rateable property of the Awakino Valley (Upper) Special-rating District, comprising part 1 and part N.E. Section 2 (350 acres), Section 1 of Section 1, Lots 4 and 5 of N.E. Section Part 2, Section 9 of N.E. Section Part 2, all in Block V, Awakino East Survey District; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of October in each and every year during a period equal to the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.-LOAN OF £500, KAKARIKI SPECIAL-RATING DISTRICT.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a special loan of £500, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of metalling for the first time on the Kakariki Road from Mataroa Township northwards to the Hautapu River, a distance of about 100 chains, and the cost of raising the loan and the first year's interest and sinking fund of the loan to be paid out of the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of five-sixteenths of a penny (5/16d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Kakariki Special-rating District, comprising Sections 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 33 of the Mataroa Township Suburbs, Sections 1, 1A, 3A, 14A, 15, and 16, and Motukawa Blocks 2B 7B (613 acres 2 roods 33 perches), 2B 7c (653 acres 3 roods 32 perches), and 2B 7D (593 acres 2 roods 12 perches), all in Block IX, Ohinewairua Survey District; as the said special-rating district is more particularly shown upon the map attached to the ratepayers' consent to the said loan and thereon bordered red; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.-LOAN OF £800.-KAIMATAWI SPECIAL-RATING DISTRICT.

IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Rangitikei County Council hereby resolves as follows:-
That, for the purpose of providing the instalments in respect of principal and interest and also the other charges on a special loan of £800, authorized to be raised by the Rangitikei County Council under the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, for the purpose of metalling for the first time the Kaimatawi Road from a point near its junction with the Turakina Valley Road to the west boundary of Section 2, Block VII, Maungakaretu Survey District (part Raketapauma Block), being a distance of about one and a half miles, and the cost of raising the loan and the first year's interest and sinking fund of the loan to be paid out of the loan, the said Rangitikei County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of two-thirds of a penny (2/3d.) in the pound sterling upon the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property of the Kaimatawi Special-rating District, comprising Sections 4 (200 acres), part 5 (100 acres), 6 (180 acres), 7 (113 acres), and 8 (20 acres), in Block VI, Sections 1 (158 acres 2 roods 25 perches), part 1c (300 acres), 2 (180 acres 3 roods), 3 (90 acres), 3D 2 (231 acres), 4 (24 acres 3 roods), 5 (20 acres), 5A 2 (138 acres 3 roods 30 perches), 5B 2 (16 acres), 5C 2A No. 1 (4 acres), 5C 2A No. 2 (15 acres 3 roods 35 perches), 5C 2B (47 acres 1 rood 20 perches), and 6 (12 acres 1 rood), in Block VII, all in the Maungakaretu Survey District, and part of the Raketapauma Block; as the said special-rating district is more particularly shown upon the map attached to the ratepayers' consent to the said loan and thereon bordered red; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the first day of May in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of thirty-six and a half years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
