NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR A ROAD.
In the matter of the Public Works Act, 1908.
NOTICE is hereby given that the Waiapu County Council proposes under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act to execute a certain public work—namely, the con-
struction of a road—and for the purpose of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken.
Notice is further given that a plan of the lands so required to be taken is deposited in the public offices of the Clerk to the said Council at Waipiro Bay, and is open for inspection by all persons during ordinary office hours.
All persons affected by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of such lands, who have any well-founded objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said lands, must state their objections in writing, and send the same, within forty days from the first publication of the said notice, to the County Clerk at the Council Chambers, Waipiro Bay.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.—TANGIHUA SPECIAL LOAN AREA.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf, by the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1913, the Whangarei County Council hereby resolves as follows :—
That for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £1,200, authorized to be raised by the Whangarei County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of formation, construction, and metalling the road known as the Tangihua Access Road, in the Mangapai Riding of the Whangarei County, the Whangarei County Council makes and levies a special rate of 2½d. in the pound upon the rateable value of all rateable property within the said Tangihua Special-rating Area, comprising all the area and rateable property within the boundaries of the following lines—Commencing at the north-western boundary corner of Section 16, Block II, Tangihua ; thence east by south along the course of the Waiotama River to the north-eastern boundary corner of Section 1, in Block I, Tangihua Survey District,; thence south along the eastern boundary of the said Section 1 to point opposite Hill 320 (road junction) ; thence westerly along southern side of road-line to the north-western boundary corner of Section 7A (48 acres) ; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of the said Section 7A and Section 7 to the southern corner of the latter section ; thence generally in westerly direction along the southern boundary of Section 7, E. 8, W. 8, S.E. 9, N.W. 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, to the south-western boundary corner of last-mentioned section, thence north along the western boundary of the said Section 15 to its north-western boundary corner where it joins road-line opposite Hill 352 ; thence easterly along the northern boundary of such road to point opposite the south-eastern boundary corner of Section 16 ; thence northerly along the north-western boundary of the said Section 16 to its north-western boundary corner at junction with Waiotama River, being the point of commencement. That such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and shall be payable yearly on the 1st day of February in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.
