Gisborne Harbour—Removal of Groyne.

Wellington, N.Z., 16th March, 1925.
NOTICE is hereby given that the outer groyne (known as
Groyne C), on the southern side of the Turanganui
River is being demolished, and that the two green lights
marking it will be removed on or shortly after the 17th March.

Zealand Pilot,” ninth edition, 1919, page 263; “New Zealand
Nautical Almanac,” 1925, page 197, and plan facing page 200.

CROWN LANDS NOTICES.
Land in Taranaki Land District forfeited.

NOTICE is hereby given that the license of the under-
mentioned section having been declared forfeited by
resolution of the Taranaki Land Board, the said land has
thereby reverted to the Crown under the provisions of the
Land Act, 1924, and the Discharged Soldiers Settlement Act,
1915, and amendments.

Land in Marlborough Land District for Sale or Selection.

NOTICE is hereby given that the undermentioned section
is opened for selection in terms of the Land Act, 1924,
and applications will be received at the District Lands and
Survey Office, Blenheim, up to 4 o'clock p.m., on Tuesday,
the 21st April, 1925.
The land may, at the option of the applicant, be purchased
for cash, or be selected for occupation with right of purchase,
or on renewable lease.
Title will be subject to Part XIII of the Land Act, 1924.
Full particulars can be obtained from the Commissioner of
Crown Lands, Blenheim.
SCHEDULE.
MARLBOROUGH LAND DISTRICT—THIRD-CLASS LAND.
Marlborough County.—Wakamarina Survey District.
SECTIONS 49 and 50, Block VIII: Area, 103 acres. Capital
value, £40. Occupation with right of purchase: Half-
yearly rent, £1. Renewable lease: Half-yearly rent, 16s.
This property comprises steep shady hills covered with
bush and scrub, situated about two miles from Havelock by
water, and thence several chains by unformed road.

MAORI LANDS NOTICE.
Native Lands for Lease by Public Auction.
NOTICE is hereby given that the lands shown in the
Schedule hereto will be offered for lease by public
auction at the office of the Tairawhiti District Maori Land
Board, Gisborne, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, the 4th day of
April, 1925, under the provisions of Part XIV of the Native
Land Act, 1909. The leases will be for a term of sixteen
years from the first day of May, 1925, with right of renewal
for a further term of sixteen years and with compensation
for improvements effected by the lessee during the currency
of the lease.
SCHEDULE.
LOT 1. Hauomatuku No. 9B, situated in Waikohu County,
Waingaromia Survey District: No legal access; area,
27 acres 1 rood 29 perches; upset rental, £10 per annum.
Lot 2. Waipaoa No. 5A, situated in Wairoa County on the
Ruakituri River. The Gisborne-Waikaremoana Road runs
through the block. Area, 2,624 acres, from which a tract of
brush lands containing approximately 500 acres is reserved
for scenic and timber purposes. Upset rental, £186 per
annum.
ABSTRACT OF CONDITIONS OF LEASES.

  1. Lessees to be not less than twenty-one years of age,
    and must not hold more than the area of land stipulated
    in Part XII of the Native Land Act, 1909, and its amend-
    ments.

    CASTLECLIFFE.

    THE white light with a green stripe showing from the
    Head Wharf, the white light with a red stripe showing
    from the Dredge Wharf, and the temporary white light shown
    during wharf extensions, will be discontinued from the 14th
    March.
    On the 14th March a fixed red light and a fixed white
    light, vertically disposed, 3 ft. apart, will be exhibited from
    the seaward end of the wharf.

    Notice appointing First Meetings of Hospital Boards.
    IN pursuance and exercise of the powers conferred on me
    by section 28 of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, I, Maui Pomare, Minister of Health, do
    hereby appoint that the first meeting of each Hospital Board
    mentioned in the first column of the Schedule hereto shall
    be on the day, time, and place, respectively, set opposite
    thereto in the second and third columns of such Schedule:-
