Apportionment of Representation and Election of Representatives on the Bay of Plenty and Opotiki Hospital Boards.

ORDER IN COUNCIL.
At the Government House, at Wellington, this 9th day of
March, 1925.
Present :
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL.
WHEREAS by the Opotiki Hospital District Act, 1924,
the Opotiki Hospital District was constituted :
And whereas by the said Act it is enacted that the Board
of the said Hospital District shall consist of such number of
representatives of the contributing districts within the hos-
pital district as the Governor-General by Order in Council
from time to time determines, and that the first election of
members of the said Board shall be held on such day as the
Governor-General by Order in Council appoints, and that the
Governor-General may make all such provisions as are deemed
necessary for the purposes of that election :
And whereas by reason of the creation of the Opotiki
Hospital District the number of representatives at present
apportioned to the Bay of Plenty Hospital District would be
less than that permitted by subsection three of section nine
of the Hospitals and Charitable Institutions Act, 1909, it is
desirable to revise the apportionment of representation of
contributing districts within the Bay of Plenty Hospital
District :
Now, therefore, His Excellency the Governor-General of the
Dominion of New Zealand, acting by and with the advice of
the Executive Council of the said Dominion, and in pursuance
and exercise of the powers and authorities conferred on him
by the aforesaid Act, and also by the Hospital and Charitable
Institutions Act, 1909, doth hereby determine that the number
of representatives of each contributing district within the
aforesaid hospital districts of Opotiki and Bay of Plenty
shall be as set forth in the Schedule hereto, and that the
first election of the representatives of the Opotiki County
to the Opotiki Hospital Board shall be held on Wednesday,
the first day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-
five ; and it is further directed that, until the date of the
next ordinary general election of members of the Opotiki
Borough the present representative of the Opotiki Borough
on the Bay of Plenty Hospital Board shall respresent the
Opotiki Borough on the Opotiki Hospital Board ; and it is
directed that the election of representatives to the Bay of
Plenty Hospital Board shall be held on Wednesday, the
eighth day of April, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-
five ; and it is further directed that in all other respects the
regulations made by the Order in Council dated the ninth
day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three,
shall, as far as applicable, apply as if incorporated in this
Order in Council.

by the aforesaid Act, and also by the Hospitals and Charitable Institu-
tions Act, 1909, doth hereby determine that the number of re-
representatives of each contributing district within the aforesaid
hospital districts of Dannevirke and Waipawa shall be as set
forth in the Schedule hereto ; and that the first election of
the representatives to the Dannevirke Hospital Board and the
election of representatives to the Waipawa Hospital Board
shall be held on Wednesday, the first day of April, one thousand
nine hundred and twenty-five, with the exception that the
first election of two representatives of the Dannevirke
Borough to the Dannevirke Hospital Board shall be held on
the date of the next ordinary general election of members of
the Dannevirke Borough, and that until the date of such
election the two representatives of the Dannevirke Borough
on the Waipawa Hospital Board shall represent the Dannevirke
Borough on the Dannevirke Hospital Board :
And it is further directed that in all other respects the
regulations made by the Order in Council dated the ninth
day of March, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-three,
shall, as far as applicable, apply as if incorporated in this
Order in Council.
