UAWA COUNTY COUNCIL.
RESOLUTION INCREASING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, and of all other powers (if any) it thereunto enabling, the Uawa County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing for the payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on the loan of £104,455, authorized to be raised by the Uawa County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of—Formation, metalling, and tar-sealing roads, £64,805; renewal and erection of bridges, £16,000; purchase of roadmaking machinery and motor-lorries, £8,300; erection of offices, engineer's residence, motor-shed, also buildings, cart, and pans for sanitary system, £5,350; contingencies, £10,000,—the said Council, pursuant to section 22 of the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, hereby increases to one (1) penny and two twenty-fifths (2/25ths) of a penny in the pound sterling the special rate of one (1) penny and seven-hundredths (7/100ths) of a penny in the pound sterling made and levied by resolution passed on the 28th day of July, 1924, by the said Council and gazetted on page 2016 of the New Zealand Gazette, 1924, on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the County of Uawa, such rate of one (1) penny and seven-hundredths (7/100ths) of a penny in the pound sterling being insufficient to provide for payment of interest, sinking fund, and other charges on such loan; and that such special rate as increased shall be an annually recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 1st day of January in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of twenty (20) years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

OHAI RAILWAY BOARD.
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND.
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Ohai Railway Board proposes under the provisions of the Local Railways Act, 1914, and the Public Works Act, 1908, and all other Acts enabling it in that behalf, to execute a certain public work—to wit, the construction of a section of the Wairio-Birchwood Railway; and that for the purposes of such public work the lands described in the Schedule hereto are required to be taken:
And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land to be so taken is deposited at the office of the said Board at Otautau, and is there open for public inspection (without fee) by all persons during ordinary office hours, and that all persons affected by the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said lands should, if they have well grounded objections to the execution of the said public work or the taking of the said lands, set forth the same in writing and send such writing within forty (40) days from the 10th day of February, 1925, being the date of the first publication of this notice, addressed to "The Clerk, The Ohai Railway Board, Otautau."

Being portion of Section 90 (Part Lot 20, Birchwood Estate); coloured on plan, pink.
Situated in Block II, Wairio Survey District.
In the Land District of Southland, as the same is more particularly delineated on the plan deposited as aforesaid.

THE Partnership hitherto subsisting between the undersigned under the style or firm of “White and Co.” has been dissolved as from the thirty-first day of December, one thousand nine hundred and twenty-four.
Mr. WHITE has retired from the business, which will in future be carried on by Mr. MICHAELSEN, who will defray all liabilities and to whom all debts are to be paid. His receipt will be sufficient discharge for all moneys paid to him.

MATAMATA COUNTY COUNCIL.
OMAHINE TE POI No. 2 LOAN, £3,300.—RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Matamata County Council hereby resolves as follows:
That, for the purpose of providing the interest and other charges on a loan of £3,300, authorized to be raised by the Matamata County Council under the above-mentioned Act, for the purpose of road-metalling for the first time and bituminous sealing of portion of roads in the above special area, the Matamata County Council hereby makes and levies a special rate of seven-sixteenths (7/16ths) of one penny in the pound upon the rateable capital value of all rateable property within the Omahine Te Poi No. 2 Special Area, comprising all that area of land commencing at Te Weraiti Trig on the Matamata County boundary and at the north-east corner of the Te Poi Riding, and following the northern boundary of the riding in a westerly direction to the western corner of Section 4087 where the said section joins Section 4313 1B; thence along the eastern boundary of said Section 4313 1B and Section 4313 1A to the western junction of Sections 52 and 51, Block XI, Tapapa; thence in a south-easterly direction through Section 51, thus including 200 acres of said Section 51 in the area, to the road; thence along the southern boundaries of Lot 1, Section 63, and Section 58, Block XI, Tapapa; thence in a north-easterly direction along the boundaries of said Section 58 and Section 59 to the Kaimai; thence along the northern boundary of the Government Scenic Reserve in a north-easterly direction to the western riding boundary; thence in a northerly direction along the said boundary back to Weraiti Trig. to the commencing-point; and that such special rate shall be an annual-recurring rate during the currency of such loan, and be payable yearly on the 30th day of September in each and every year during the currency of such loan, being a period of 36½ years, or until the loan is fully paid off.

RESOLUTION MAKING SPECIAL RATE.
IN pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by the Local Bodies' Loans Act, 1913, the Piako County Council hereby resolves as follows:
