Otago LAND DISTRICT.

Vincent and Tuapeka Counties.—Teviot, Benger, and Long Valley Survey Districts.

RUN 603: Area, 2,682 acres. Term, twenty-one years. Half-yearly rental, £67 10s. Capital value, £4,150.

Valuation for improvements, £67 17s. 6d. (fencing).

The licensee will also be required to take one-twelfth share of miscellaneous license over Section 2, Block XXIII, Teviot District, the area of which is 77 acres, and the total annual rental £5, and to pay in cash £50, being one-twelfth share with the lessees of Runs 638 to 644, and Allotments 3s, 7s, 8s, and 32s in huts, dip, yards, also bridge over the Teviot River. Total valuation for improvements, £117 17s. 6d.

The successful applicant will be required to take a lease (expiring at the same time as the run license) under section 59 of the Land for Settlement Act, 1908, over Section 11s, Teviot Settlement : Area, 632 acres. Capital value, £3,490. Half-yearly rent, £78 10s. 6d.

The buildings to be paid for separately are cottage known as Snow's hut near cottage, and old chaff-house. The value of these buildings is £560, payable in cash or in twenty years by forty half-yearly instalments of £22 9s. 4d. Total half-yearly payment on lease, £100 19s. 10d.

Improvements included in the capital value consist of fencing valued at £343 8s. 6d.

Run 641 : Area, 5,490 acres. Term, twenty-one years. Half-yearly rental, £75. Capital value, £4,620.

Valuation for improvements, £352 16s. (fencing).

The licensee will also be required to take one-twelfth share of miscellaneous license over Section 2, Block XXIII, Teviot District, the area of which is 77 acres, and the total annual rental £5, and to pay in cash £50, being one-twelfth share with the lessees of Runs 603, 638 to 640, 642 to 644, and Allotments 3s, 7s, 8s, and 32s in huts, dip, yards, also bridge over Teviot River. Total valuation for improvements, £402 16s.

The successful applicant will be required to take a lease (expiring at the same time as the run license) under section 59

of the Land for Settlement Act, 1908, over Section 10s,

Teviot Settlement : Area, 611 acres. Capital value, £3,780. Half-yearly rent, £85 1s.

The buildings to be paid for separately are chaff-house and milking-shed, dwelling-house, office, fowl-house, cook-house, and stone building containing wash-house and dairy. The value of these buildings is £215, payable in cash or in ten years by twenty half-yearly instalments of £13 18s. 6d. Total half-yearly payment on lease, £98 19s. 6d.

Improvements included in the capital value consist of fencing valued at £721 5s.

Special Condition.—The poplar plantation is not included with the land on Section 10s, and the Crown reserves the right to dispose of such plantation in any way it considers advisable.

Run 642 : Area, 4,580 acres. Term twenty-one years. Half-yearly rent, £62 10s. Capital value, £3,850.

Valuation for improvements, £186 10s. (fencing).

The licensee will also be required to take one-twelfth share of miscellaneous license over Section 2, Block XXIII, Teviot District, the area of which is 77 acres, and the total annual rental £5, and to pay in cash £50, being one-twelfth share with the lessees of Runs 603, 638 to 641, 643, 644, and Allotments 3s, 7s, 8s, and 32s in huts, dip, yards, also bridge over the Teviot River. Total valuation for improvements, £236 10s.

The successful applicant will be required to take a lease (expiring at the same time as the run license) under section 59 of the Land for Settlements Act, 1908, over Section 34s : Area, 770 acres. Capital value, £4,990. Half-yearly rent, £112 5s. 6d.

Improvements included in capital value consist of fencing valued at £369 17s. 9d.

General Description.

The runs are situated about six to fifteen miles from Roxburgh. The land is undulating. The aspect of about one-half is southerly, while the remainder has a northerly aspect. Altitude, about 1,800 ft. to 3,600 ft.
